I seem to recall that it did but since it's been a good month since purchase and installation won't swear to that. If it did then the washer was likely already seated inside the fitting which screws onto the supply pipe coming out of the shower stall wall. But please consider doing what I also recommended which was to wrap one-two windings around the threads of the supply pipe before threading this unit Read More

It's been something like a month since I bought and instaled this device and sometimes my memory can be kinda' fuzzy on such items. But if it did then the washer was already seated in the screw-on fitting for the device. Though I still recommend that plumber's teflon tape(which Home Depot and and most other building supply venues usually have in abundance)be applied, with about 1-2 wrappings around the circumference of the supply pipe, to the pipe threads before attempting to thread this shower head onto the water supply pipe coming out of the wall of your shower stall. Answer:
I'd recommend exchanging it. Chrome is a coating process and can be subject to moisture intrusion. If the chrome is compromised and it can be right from the player there is no cure. Just replace it. I don't Home Depot very accommodating if there is any problem. It all depends on how long it's been in use.

hmmm. I've bought three, and I am 100% sold on them. I, too, just hand tightened....no flaking. Can't say the same for the more expensive American Standard one. What type of cleaner did you use?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 75153SN does not necessarily need a compensating or pressure balanced valve. However, you should check with your local municipality to see if it is code to have one in your house.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 110 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No pressure Wasnt that great it saves water but you notice it saving water March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better all around This replaced a low flow (2.25 gpm) head which sprayed mostly fine mist droplets and a few sharp stingy jets. Even on full hot, the mist would lose all its heat to the surrounding air over the 1 foot from the shower head to my body. This replacement shower head throws large droplets in a gentle random spattered pattern as the actual jet ports are recessed inside larger holes where the water bounces off, so the drops remain hot and I actually had to turn down my temperature by about half. The flow also feels stronger even though it's actually using fewer gallons per minute because the larger drops have more momentum. Overall, detailed analysis aside, this feels great, the pattern is just the right width for a typical shower, it was the lowest flow I could find, and so it's saving me money on water and heating the water, all while making every day in the shower so much more enjoyable, and looking stylish with black and anodized metal. Lastly, the price was low compared to most other heads. My one negative is that I feel any low flow shower head should come with a quick shutoff valve to use while soaping up. What better way to save water while you aren't using it? Fortunately, a quick shutoff can be purchased separately. Others might also miss having multiple spray patterns to chose, as this one has only one pattern, but if I had them I would probably just keep it on one setting anyway, and this one I like very much. I'm extremely pleased with this product, and would recommend it to everyone! March 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprised how well this worked Longer warm showers - You got to love it! Easy to install. I was surprised how well it worked. January 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great water saver with power This water saver shower head uses less water with the feel of using a lot more water Everyone should have one December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Get this one! I had purchased a cool led shower head that changed colors with water temp. Which for my kids was a safety feature. The problem was after 1, 10 minute shower (flow rate 2.5gpm) the next person was getting warm water then cold. A problem when 4 showers are needed. I looked at getting a bigger gas hot water heater, that's about $500 bucks or more without the new fittings. I looked into a water saver insert, but Home Depot doesn't stock them. So had to say good bye to the led head. Purchased this product for about $12. Easy install, really good pressure and 4 showers in about 45 minutes all hot with hot water to spare. So yes I highly recommend this product!! Unless you prefer to spend $$$ on a bigger tank or have to add a tank if your tankless can't keep up with the flow rate. Only con is if you want Brushed Nickel look they charge you $3 more. Go figure So it's a delta product, modern design, good pressure, cheap cost and less work on your hot water system. A++++ August 16, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by eh ok not much pressure looks good tho was easy to install September 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Should have bought these years ago! As advertised, this shower head is a tremendous water saver. It also feels like a shower massage unit and it is eerily quiet compared to other shower heads we've used. Great value - highly recommend! August 31, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Reduced flow shower head that works! A nice looking but simple design shower head! I bought this to reduce my water usage and it does. We are using a heat pump electric water heater and by using the reduced flow head, I have longer hot water. The design of the nozzles makes it seem like more water spray than it really is! I'm glad I bought it. Herb July 7, 2015
