The polished brass was really shiny. I won't have to polish it yet.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DCoop Difficult to use and low durability
We had our house built, finished in January of 2013. We had this splitter installed in the master bath so we could use a hand shower or main shower at will.
The first problem was instantly evident - you have to be extremely tall to be able to pull up on the button effectively. More of an inconvenience, really, but a weird design issue.
The second, fatal problem arose this morning (June of 2014 - not even a year and a half later) - the pull tab no longer moves. No amount of pulling can activate the diverter. Nothing seems to have changed; it just stopped working. I've looked at it for the better part of an hour, and nothing seems different. The puller just no longer moves.
Since a shower is typically built for the long haul, I'd recommend getting a different diverter. Less than 18 months is hardly the long haul.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NBethesdaGP2 Does not work as advertised
Our plumber recommended this product to use when installing a new showerhead and hand shower in our bathroom. However, after installation the diverter did not work as it was supposed to. It can send water to the shower head OR the hand shower but not both simultaneously. The plumber exchanged the part, yet the problem persists even with the new part. At this point even he doesn't think it is worth exchanging again and suggested we go with a different part/model/manufacturer. Disappointed in Delta :(

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Janet Not function as it said
I search and read many articles to find out this diverter can do both hand shower and shower head together. However it cannot do it. The water pressure stronger than the control and push it to either shower head or hand shower. I am looking around for other brand and hope something can function for both head and hand shower.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wisconsinuser Hated it!
As soon as it was installed - I started looking for the replacement solution. Since diverter was as finger tip height (on my tip toes) I could never get a good grasp on the nob to operate it effectively - so I didn't often use it. Even when I could get my hand it it, it was a tight mechanism that required effort to move.I would recommend the other type of diverter manufactured by Delta - 2 fingers operation makes it more user friendly.
