Yes, very easy to install. You may need a pliers to help remove old shower head and possible some plumbers tape.

Hi Valerie,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 54424-PK is very easy to install. After removing your old showerhead, this showerhead will screw onto your showerarm. You might need some plumber's tape wrapped around the pipe of your showerarm to make it a tight fit.
Thanks.

Extremely simple to install yourself. Take off the existing showerhead with a adjustable wrench. Get some teflon tape to tape the threads of existing pipe and install the new shower head. Could not be easier.... will take about 10 minutes per showerhead. Happy DIYer....John

We are building a house and the contractor installed stationary shower heads when I wanted hand held shower heads. I hate to have him take out the existing heads but would like to have the convenience of hand held ones.

Takes all of about 10 minutes max. This head is typically used to act both as a stationary and a hand held shower depending where you place the handle in the wall mounted cradle or remove it and hold it in your hand. I have been told that it is possible to install a T fitting behind your existing head and attach this additional head. Much more complicated and I didn't see that it provided any additional feature other than you could have two shower heads running at the same time with possibly lower water volume. I opted to replace my existing fixed head. Cheaper, looks better, less cumbersome and less accident prone. Hopes this helps. DJay

Hi CKKC,
I know that some of the discussions are confusing and maybe misleading in regards to the current product. Due to the misleading advertisement on the web page that sort of implies that you need an "accessory" moveable head mounting fixture, I purchased an "accessory" head because I wanted to be safe. Now I have two moveable head brackets. The current product already has the ball joint moveable head bracket. Works great! I haven't used one of these flexible hose type showers since I was a small child. Now that I am 75 I have rediscovered the luxury of bathing in the European style. You will love it! Looks great, is very versatile, fits the hand well, has no issues so far. Hope that this helps. Happy Holidays! DJ

Yes the pause button is very hard, that's why I'm buying a different model perhaps without the pause button. Other than the pause this is great.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Was easy to install & has worked perfect! Was easy to install & has worked perfect! The hose is very flexible and makes it easy to remove the Shower head and hold to use! The Mount fits the Base perfectly! We are very satifid with this item! October 28, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 9-spray shower head is now a 1-spray Hoped this shower head would be a long-term fixture in our bath, but ends up it will not be. Had all the features we were looking for: multiple spray settings, pause/trickle flow, long quality hose, seems sturdier than most, good pivoting mount, looks great. All 3 spray setting buttons have stopped working (stuck in the down position) after only a month of use. First one, then a second, then all three buttons got stuck within just a few days - very disappointing. After this shower head failed I skimmed through 60+ reviews and saw no others where the spray buttons remained stuck - odd - are the plumbing gods frowning on only us....? September 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by still fine after two months I choose this hand shower, despite a lack of reviews, because it had 9 spray settings, a pause feature, a six foot long hose and 2.5 gpm (80 psi) which was higher than most others I researched. The nine settings allow you to find the spray you like best, which you then use 99 percent of the time. The pause feature is handy (it is not a complete stoppage of water) but best of all, both my husband and son approve of the water pressure and they are way more critical than I am regarding low flow shower heads. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Fair This showerhead is just ok. I don't think the pushbuttons will last a long time. But my main goal was to get a showerhead with Great waterflow after the restrictors are removed and this is not the one. I don't understand the great reviews. I returned it and purchased the original waterpik for half the price. Even though it is plastic the waterpik (original) has better waterflow than the last 3 I have tried. And it has the most powerful massage setting. I can buy 2 of these for the price of 1 of the Delta's if I need to and be much happier. The only thing I changed on the waterpik was the hose and am completely satisfied. July 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good replacement It was easy to install. We didn't need the hose, just the shower head to replace one we had. We like the "pause" button - it enables you to put it down for a bit until you're ready to spray. I was hoping that it was metal instead of hard plastic, as I'm afraid if it falls against the floor or tiled shower wall, that it might crack (which is what happened to the last one we had). So far so good though. We did find that it is hard to hold onto if your hands are soapy - but maybe that just comes with the shower world. October 20, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Does as advertised • Easy install * Metal hose * Ball joint head holder ( a deal maker! ) • Could use about 12 inch longer hose out of the box. Have attached ( easy ) Sprite Hand Held Universal Shower Filter (HF-CM) which provides filtered water AND and extends the hose line about 8 inches without having to stretch hose * Used for one month and So far no button issue, but after testing all the buttons have settled on using just one. • Limited Lifetime Warranty ( a deal maker !) Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprizingly works well We were looking for a quality handheld shower and selected the Delta based on the reviews of others, as well as the brand-name. The variety of options is impressive, and even with the 2.5 gal/min restriction, the shower force is more than adequate for us. The stretchable metal hose works well, although the slight stretching of the hose when the faucet is turned on and the shrinking of the hose when the water is turned off was unanticipated, it is nice to have a quality metal hose and not the cheap plastic that others supply. Although I would have liked the housing of the shower to have been made from metal, I understand the need to keep a hand-held product light. The only 'negative' is the mounting bracket, it is made from plastic and is susceptible to breakage. July 21, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lacking There are nine spray settings, only two of which I use. I bought this to replace an Intermatic that had begun to fail. Specifically the pulsating massage. I researched as much as I could stand and finally settled on this Delta. While it is built well, the pulsating massage is barely recognizable on my back. I went out and purchased a second handheld, a Waterpik, to see if I would decide to return the Delta. I found the Waterpik massage to be no more effective. I decided to keep the Delta only because of it's better quality. Unfortunately, as stated above, I limit myself to two settings until I can hopefully find a unit which provides a better pulsating massage. Good quality, however limited use for nine settings which are only slightly different from one another. April 29, 2015
