After two years of struggling with the solenoid sticking and shutting off the water completely, I wanted to replace it but the Delta website says it is discontinued. I assume this is not covered by warranty but how can I fix it if the part is discontinued?

Answer:
Hi Icecream,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 9192T-CZ-DST will not function as a manual faucet unless the faucet is running when the batteries go dead. The only way to get the faucet working is to replace the batteries.
Thanks.

How much clearance is needed for the handle, or does it move left to right? We have a tile backsplash behind the sink.

Answer:
The handle on ours moves left to right to shut off and turn on but moves forward and back a short distance to adjust temperature. I also had very little room behind the faucet and it would not have worked for us if it had to move forwards and back very much.

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 201 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wish the old faucet had failed earlier Easy installation. The features are practical, useful and worked the first time power was applied. Made my wife very happy. The value of that can't be overstated. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Attractive and functional! My husband installed this himself after we got new countertops in the kitchen. At first I thought it was really 'big', as I was used to my old low-profile one. But it has proved to be functional, as well as attractive. The multi-spray option button is handy, and I love the 'pull-down' feature of this faucet. I also got the matching soap dispenser which works well and is very handy. April 24, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by When it works, it's a life-changer, and then it stops working and you want to scream So this was for 7 months the PERFECT kitchen faucet. If i could have given it 6 stars, i would have. i never thought i "needed" touch to start and touch to stop technology, but once you have lived with it for a few days, you cannot imagine how you managed to do without it. As important: the fact that the faucet turns itself off after 2 minutes is an entirely separate lifesaver. Once you have it, you'll want it forever. But. That was then. This is now. Now, the Touch2O component has stopped working altogether. And the red/purple/blue color-temperature indicator is unreliable: in the past, when it was lit, the faucet was ON and Touch2O was working. This is just maddening. within installation from a professioanl plumber, this piece was like five hundred dollars. 7 months of use is just not ok. October 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Faucet Works great looks great Easy to install Like the light on base for hot / cold October 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by loved it while it worked We installed this a little over a year ago and really did enjoy the convenience of the touch feature. Unfortunately, after about a year, it started to act erratically -- sometimes touch would work, sometimes not. Then, it began to turn on when no one was in the room! Delta, to their credit, sent us new solenoid assembly and a new LED base. We installed the new parts and it worked for only a few weeks, then began to act erratically again. Water flow would be interrupted every few seconds, sometimes no water flow occurred, etc. Delta sent more new parts -- ne wmounting hardware, an isolator, etc. Installed those parts and then turning it on required using the lever first, then touching..not the way it was designed. Tech support offred more suggestions and today, it doesn't work at all! A very expensive facuet, but no water in the kitchen. Save your money and the time and grief of multiple re-installations. For what it's worth, one tech at Delta indicated that the last "new" parts were actually and old design that had been phased out. It seems they are engineering this product in the field..very disappointed in the product. BTW- I removed the solenoid and it now functions like a conventional faucet. A lot of time and money wasted by all involved. September 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install, like the look and feel We were looking for a faucet that would help to keep the back granite counter from getting constantly soaked. The touch feature reduces the need to reach back over the back granite counter with wet hands. I also positioned the handle in the center facing the sink to further limit the water. I like the magnetic nozzle snapping into place as well. All the parts feel well made but the electrical components look delicate. I was concerned that there was no thin "O" ring washer provided between the counter and the faucet stem. I hope it does not leak. I installed it myself and it was straight forward with the help of clear instructions. Everyone in the house is enjoying it thus far. I am concerned about all the negative reviews but hoping it works for a long time. November 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product I just installed this faucet and we love it. It works as advertised. Wave of your bond on top turns the water on until you wave your hand again. Hold something under the faucet and it stays on until you move away from the faucet. Everything seems to work properly. As to quality, everything is of good quality. The wand feels cheaply made. It is yet to be seen if this part lasts. March 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We love it!!! We have been using this faucet for 2 months now and it works great. I was skeptical about buying it after reading the totally opposite reviews on it but went ahead and couldn't be happier. As per the manual, we have the battery pack away from the things under the sink as well as the cabinet walls. The touch feature works almost flawlessly. Occasionally, it needs a second tap to turn on or off or may be too sensitive while I reach past it not wanting to activate it. But that is so infrequently, it won't stop me from installing in my bathrooms when the time comes. You will also develop the required "feel" of the tap that works best. I highly recommend this faucet. March 9, 2014
