Customer Questions & Answers

will this faucet be good for a vessel bowl over the counter sink ?

Asked by: Anonymous
We installed ours for a semi-recessed sink and works good for that. The model we got wouldn't be tall enough for a vessel bowl. If they make an extension for it maybe, but not the Addison we purchased.

true stainless color, or yellowish?

Does this "stainless" finish have a gold/champagne tint to it... i.e., something that will not match any drawer pulls or tub faucets out there? The photo makes it look different from most brushed/stainless metals.
Asked by: Lighterupper
Hi Cat! Delta's Stainless Steel finish has a slightly warmer stainless color to it. It will look like most of the stainless steel appliances and products you'd purchase unless you're comparing them directly with Delta's Arctic Chrome. Side by side, the Arctic Chrome has a cooler and almost blue undertone to the look and can better match some of the newer stainless appliances. These colors do not have a gold tint to them like our Champagne Bronze which has a yellowish base. Thanks! Kate

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Corrosion, Quick Cartridge Failure This product should not be sold. The brass is beautiful to look at on day one. But on day 2, if any drop of water is allowed to sit on the faucet it corrodes in less than 12 hours. Getting the corrosion stain off requires significant effort. Now, if the valve cartridge fails, as in our case, after only 15 months, water leaks from the ball valve (which really is not a ball valve anymore). It seeps out and overnight drips onto the base and begins to corrode. So in the morning, you find this corrosion stain and have to work like the dickens with a scratchy back sponge and a ton of elbow grease to remove the corrosion stain. God forbid that you do not get to this stain right away. I would definitely not recommend this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Over all a very nice faucet. This faucet overall is a great faucet. It has one major design flaw in it. If the backsplash on the cabinet is more than 3/8" thick the lift rod does not work. It will not pull up correctly and stay in line with the connections underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing looking, solid faucet It was my second chance to get faucet from home depot. First one was for kitchen and I was slightly disappointed since it was pretty light and very cheap looking. I was very impressed with quality of this faucet. Heavy duty, solid and expensive looking. Installation was very smooth and easy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from drain stopper is very difficult to operate We just installed two of the Addison Delta faucets with a new quartz countertop and back splashes. Because of the stopper design and the natural thickness of the quartz backsplash, it is very difficult to pull the stopper. The problem seems to be the proximity of the stopper to the backsplash and also the sleek, flat, slanted shape of the very top of the stopper. It is very hard to get a hold of. What can you offer as a solution to the problem?

Unfortunately the escutcheon plate was oddly shaped and the ring left by the base of the old faucet was visible. It is also a very large and tall faucet. It was out of proportion for our bath. The color was darker than I expected but I could have lived with it if not for the other problems.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from One good, One bad Just completed a bathroom remodel and our plumber installed two Addison faucets. They look wonderful and are heavy solid built faucets. The problem we had was we discovered one of the faucets had a bad O-ring or something and leaked out the top of it by the handle. When the handle is turned on and off, something doesn'tt seal right and starts leaking out the top of the faucet. Unfortunately this happened during the night and left a pool of water all over our newly installed flooring and dripped down into our lower level ceiling damaging that also. Called Delta and they are sending a replacement cartridge and O-ring to hopefully solve the problem. Not sure what to do about damage yet. I have mixed feelings on these faucets, they are beautiful faucets but we apparently got a good one and a bad one. Very frustrating. Delta immediately sent out the replacement parts but now we have to wait for that to arrive and have our plumber fix this again (said 7-10 business days). Not what you would like happen when you spend so much to have a brand new bathroom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from overall very good The foam seal to place between the faucet and the sink junction is worthless. I added silecone sealant at this junction. A more substantial foam seal would be great. A more vertical chrome drain handle would be more condusive to a variety of applications. With the sink I purchased, it was difficult to attach the drain apparatus to the chrome handle shaft due to the angle of approx 15%. A 5% or less angle would accomodate all sinks.
