We had this fan installed to replace an old builder grade fan that was very noisy. We also wanted to add more light in the bathroom which is why we chose this fan. The light on this fan is nice and bright. It is also very quiet.

Very quiet fan and very bright LED light - my contractor said it was easy to install, too. Replaced fans in two bathrooms with these.

Great unit. Very quiet, the light is bright you hardly need another light in 5x8 restroom.
I bought two for our two from restrooms and wired separate switches for motor and light. Our master rr is larger however so I replaced both existing exhaust fans with these units. One for the slower and one for the throne.
Only draw back is one of the qualities, it's quiet soooo it doesn't cover natures unflatteriy noises echoing from the throne.
Buy one, you'll be glad you did.

I'm replacing my bathroom ceiling fan light and after reading these questions & answers I just wanted to clarify: there is no actual light bulb in the sense that you folks are asking. Your concern was if it burns out, then replacing it is expensive. We consumers have experienced the revolution in lighting with the transition from incandescent bulbs to CFL, then to LED, and this new 'direct wire' module is the newest, longest-lasting and most affordable innovation in my own opinion. After you hardwire your electrical connections to power the unit, the fan has a simple plug that connect to the unit thereby providing power for the fan. The light is a module as mentioned in the answers posted here by HD,and it is connected directly to your power source when you connect your wiring. The module mentioned is sort of a flat reflective plate with multiple diodes implanted on it which collectively provide ample light. So there is no actual bulb to burn out. If the module burns out then it is almost as easy to replace as a bulb. But these new 'direct wire' light fixtures are designed to last for thousands of hours of use before burning out. Just trying to help.

I have had this fan installed for a few weeks now and am very happy with it. I can easily hear my music over it, in fact if it was any more quiet we would forget to turn it off. The LED light is very bright. Installation was typical for a fan installation.
