Answer:
Yes. You may experience more of a draft when the fan is directly above you but it would be an acceptable location.

Can this unit efficiently duct through 25' of 4" insulated flex hose with attached end damper or should I go up to 6" hose?

Answer:
Hi, at 0.1 static pressure, using the 4" insulated hose will drop the airflow to 90 CFM, where as the 6" insulated hose will maintain 110 CFM. 6" hose will work better.

Answer:
Hi, technically you can hot wire the power wire (constant hot) of the fan unit so it runs continuously in humidity mode. However, all installations should be in compliance with any local or state building/electric codes.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excelent fan, easy instalaton, great value I was pleasantly surprised when I unpacked this Delta exhaust fan. I found its compact design and the adapter plate for connection with the exhaust piping, just what I needed to facilitate a difficult upgrade installation. It was possible to install the fan in a very tight space utilizing the flange manufactured on the box for a flush instalation. The unit is very quiet and its humidity sensor is a plus in that it can be left on to completely evacuate moist air. I have not owned this fan long enough to comment on durability but based on the construction I think that this unit will give many years of trouble free operation. October 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bathroom fan Fan works great, extremely quiet and clears out the steam fast. The automatic humidity feature is awesome. Could use better installation instructions. February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect product Great unit. Way WAY quieter than I ever imagined. Installation was very easy August 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Well This fan has worked very well. It is extremely quiet and the sensor seems to be very accurate February 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Exhaust Fan Its a great exhaust fan. Auto mode comes on when needed and turns off on its own when humidity level falls. Mirrors do not fog up anymore since its 110CFM. Installation was very easy and it runs very quiet. Excellent value for money. July 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product This fan is very nice. Quiet operation and the humidity sensor works like a charm. Easy to toggle between the two modes, switch on, see the blue light, humidity mode on. Switch off and back on again, see the Amber light and the fan is now on high like a normal exhaust fan. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! This fan replaced a cheap, small, noisy, broken fan we had in our small full bath since we bought our home 6 years ago. This fan is SO quiet, and we LOVE that it kicks on automatically. We had zero experience installing these, and had no issues getting it in. Well worth the money spent. April 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by We really like the fan so far, easy to use and quiet We did not install this product; our builder did. It appeared to very easy. It is a vast improvement over the 1980's era fan we had in the bathroom previously. Great value for the price. Not able to really judge most aspects as we have only had it in for a few weeks and the renovation is not complete/shower not functional yet. December 31, 2013
