Answer:
You will want a switch so you can turn it off. Turn the switch on and it will operate automatically based upon humidity. Cycle the switch one time afterwards and it goes into the more powerful manual mode. Both modes are quiet.

My bathroom has a 3-switch plate to accommodate 1 light, 2 lights (3 total), and a fan. If I need to add a new switch or a toggle switch, it may not work. Also, dimension of current ceiling fan is approx. 10 x 9 inches.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! I purchased this product because of the condensation that would collect in my bathroom. Since it was installed I have had no problems at all with condensation or noise from the unit. Everything works as promised. July 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great bathroom fan The fan works well! Installation went fine for the gentleman who installed it for me.... just be sure you have enough room to negotiate in your attic. The on/off switch that has two settings depending on how many times you turn the switch on is great. The manual/high setting is just loud enough afford a little bit privacy and the automatic/low setting works well so that you can leave the room. Great fan! We bought two and couldn't be happier. (Caveat: One room is about 40 sq. feet and the other is closer to 100 sq. feet. If your rooms are bigger, get a stronger fan.) May 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wow! Just installed 130cfm delta breeze. At low can't hear it! As humidity rises so does fan. At 2 sone(high) still very quiet. Have to stop and listen in the bath room! Mirrors don't even fog. With two kids showering the humidity was a real problem. Mold paint failure etc. I'm very very happy. Fairly easy to install. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan Easy install, love the humidity sensor function, blue light also works as night light, overall very happy with the product July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice quiet fan We purchased this fan for our recently remodeled master bathroom. I was a little skeptical at first about a fan that would come on by itself, but I have to admit.. It works perfectly! It is nice and quiet, and works just as advertised. Glad we purchased it! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by love the humidistat feature, easy install Installed for two weeks now and love the way it is working! Low noise and the humidistat feature works like a charm! The quality of the housing is so much better than others I've looked at. Shipping was fast and the online purchase was easy, very satisfied! November 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good bath fan I am simply a homeowner and found this fan to be a good product. It moves a good volume of air when you cycle the light switch into manual mode, otherwise the normal mode is in control, regulating the variable operation based upon humidity. Regardless of the mode it is a quiet fan. The blue L.E.D. light during normal operation is pleasant and bright enough to serve as a nightlight for my situation. October 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great Very quiet, even when it runs at a higher rate when it senses humidity. The auto-sense feature works better than I expected. September 1, 2015
