Customer Questions & Answers

Does it turn on automatically? So no need to connect to a switch? How does it turn on if someone is just using the toilet and not taking a shower?

How do I turn it on if just using the toilet and not the shower? Thanks
Asked by: Jojo
There's two modes with an LED that tells you which mode it is currently in. If the switch is ON and the LED is blue, then fan will go on/off automatically when humidity is above 60%. If you want to just run the fan regardless of the humidity, you turn switch OFF, then ON - the LED turns amber and the fan runs like a normal fan until you turn the switch OFF. Turn ON and it'll be blue (toggles between the two modes). It's very simple.

what is the sones on this van

2.0 - we also have an 80 CFM Delta in our other bathroom that's less than 1 - they're both really quiet compared to our old fans - those must have been >5.0.

Can it be wired to run without a switch? I just need it for dehumidifying a space.

I just need the fan for the humidity setting. I don't want to add a wall switch.
Asked by: cemig
You should be able to "hardwire" it without a switch. After wiring, turn on the breaker and if the light is amber, turn breaker OFF, then back ON and it should then be blue - automatic humidity sensing. If you lose power or turn off breaker, you would have to toggle again.

Signature Series 130 CFM Humidity Sensing Ceiling Exhaust Bath Fan is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent! Easy to install and sooooo quiet. It allows wall switch to be left on so my kids dont have to worry about turning fan on/off. The blue LED stays on to let you know it is monitoring moisture and that puts off just enough light to serve as a night light. After showering NO moisture can be seen on walls or skylight so i know it is doing its job. Highly recommend!

Just installed - replaced a previous fan that was between the studs which dictated location - I had my son push the fan up through the hole, but I couldn't insert the smaller brace to hold up the duct side into the sliders - it hit the stud- it seems impossible design - if there was enough room to slide in the brace, then it wouldn't reach the stud - hmmm, as my son's arms are ready to fall off... Connected other side with longer braces and propped in hole. Then followed instructions from different Delta model laying long pieces of wood on drywall ceiling next to fan and screwing in up from below. Once installed, fan looks and works great. I really like the humidistat feature (we have in other bathroom).

The first was in my home and I liked it so much that I installed one in a condo that I rent. The tenants love it. There is no worry, it will run as long as it senses humidity. This cuts down on any mildew that could form on ceiling. the one in my home has been installed for over a year and not a single sign of mold or mildew in the bathroom or on the ceiling.

When I first went to operate it, I turned it on and the flapper outside on my exterior wall did not move, fan wasn't blowing air. took the fan down. There was a small black plastic tab left over from manufacturing making it stick on the side. Trimmed off with knife. Good to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta breeze 130 cfm with humidity sensor Although not as quiet as the my 80cfm unit I needed the extra CFM for the large bathroom and it has the retrofit capability which is second to none and I love the humidity sensor

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great bathroom fan The fan works well! Installation went fine for the gentleman who installed it for me.... just be sure you have enough room to negotiate in your attic. The on/off switch that has two settings depending on how many times you turn the switch on is great. The manual/high setting is just loud enough afford a little bit privacy and the automatic/low setting works well so that you can leave the room. Great fan! We bought two and couldn't be happier. (Caveat: One room is about 40 sq. feet and the other is closer to 100 sq. feet. If your rooms are bigger, get a stronger fan.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product but difficult installation Love the humidity control. Never worry about turning it on. Also like that it works with the existing electric and I did not have to run a constant power. Much larger that previous unit and requires building structure above the ceiling. Opted to build wooden structure instead of using the silly mounts that are included. Requires cutting an additional access hole in the ceiling to connect the ducting. Despite the installation, I would do it again as I love the humidity sensor. And I like the variable speed as it never gets below a quiet, low speed. Full speed is still a little noisy but it certainly moves some air.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! Just installed 130cfm delta breeze. At low can't hear it! As humidity rises so does fan. At 2 sone(high) still very quiet. Have to stop and listen in the bath room! Mirrors don't even fog. With two kids showering the humidity was a real problem. Mold paint failure etc. I'm very very happy. Fairly easy to install.
