Questions & Answers

Does it turn on automatically? So no need to connect to a switch? How does it turn on if someone is just using the toilet and not taking a shower?

How do I turn it on if just using the toilet and not the shower? Thanks
Asked by: Jojo
There's two modes with an LED that tells you which mode it is currently in. If the switch is ON and the LED is blue, then fan will go on/off automatically when humidity is above 60%. If you want to just run the fan regardless of the humidity, you turn switch OFF, then ON - the LED turns amber and the fan runs like a normal fan until you turn the switch OFF. Turn ON and it'll be blue (toggles between the two modes). It's very simple.

Can it be wired to run without a switch? I just need it for dehumidifying a space.

I just need the fan for the humidity setting. I don't want to add a wall switch.

Signature Series 130 CFM Humidity Sensing Ceiling Exhaust Bath Fan is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan. Quite and powerful. The humidity sensor is nice for people who forget to turn on the fan before they shower. That being said you leave it on 100% of the time and it is set in standby mode. With a flick of the switch you can turn on manually. Color coordinated LED to display mode you're in. Great buy for the money. Easy to install especially if it is just a swap out.

I know it’s doing it’s job. It is also still quieter than our older fans in other bathrooms. We installed this in a bathroom where there was no existing fan.

It works very well and is much quieter than the old exhaust fan. I wanted the automatic operation using the humidity sensor. A good feature.

Just installed - replaced a previous fan that was between the studs which dictated location - I had my son push the fan up through the hole, but I couldn't insert the smaller brace to hold up the duct side into the sliders - it hit the stud- it seems impossible design - if there was enough room to slide in the brace, then it wouldn't reach the stud - hmmm, as my son's arms are ready to fall off... Connected other side with longer braces and propped in hole. Then followed instructions from different Delta model laying long pieces of wood on drywall ceiling next to fan and screwing in up from below. Once installed, fan looks and works great. I really like the humidistat feature (we have in other bathroom).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product but difficult installation Love the humidity control. Never worry about turning it on. Also like that it works with the existing electric and I did not have to run a constant power. Much larger that previous unit and requires building structure above the ceiling. Opted to build wooden structure instead of using the silly mounts that are included. Requires cutting an additional access hole in the ceiling to connect the ducting. Despite the installation, I would do it again as I love the humidity sensor. And I like the variable speed as it never gets below a quiet, low speed. Full speed is still a little noisy but it certainly moves some air.

The first was in my home and I liked it so much that I installed one in a condo that I rent. The tenants love it. There is no worry, it will run as long as it senses humidity. This cuts down on any mildew that could form on ceiling. the one in my home has been installed for over a year and not a single sign of mold or mildew in the bathroom or on the ceiling.

Very quite even at full speed. Gradually reduces speed as humidity lowers and gets even quieter. On lowest speed you can barely hear it running and it still moves more air than the fan I had before. Shuts itself off when below 60% humidity. Super easy installation. Solid build. I'm getting another one for my second bathroom.
