Hi Seamus,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 9197-AR-DST will flow cold water when it is straight and will flow hot water when pulled in the forward position.
Thanks.

Same question we had. Ours is cold up and hot down. Friends seem to think it is backwards, but our plumber insists it is correct.

Answer:
Hi DeanY,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 9197-AR-DST flows water at 1.8 gpm at 60 psi. We do offer a model that has an adjustable flow rate which means you can get an extra high flow rate for rinsing off those stubborn stains. Model 9192-AR-DST will normally flow at 1.5 gpm but it can be boosted up to 2.0 if needed. The model 9197-AR-DST does not have that feature.
Thanks.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 53 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A pleasure to use I did not install this item, so I have nothing to say about that. I simply use it. It's beautiful (the bronze color is gorgeous,) and it is a pleasure to use. I love how smoothly it swivels and the pull down sprayer stays firmly in place. Rather pricey, but I think in the long run will be worth it. December 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I see the difference. Put a similar faucet in about 7 years ago. The nozzle hung down often and it let way less water through. Wanted to change to a different finish & get rid of the dangling nozzle & wow, what a difference. This one actually blows food residue off of utensils and the magnet works way better that whatever mechanical design was supposed to hold the other nozzle up. Pretty pricey, but worth it to us. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Functionality = Superb, Looks = Exceptional Sure, I spent an extra dime or two for this faucet, but it is definitely worth it. I have been using this product for a month now. All aspects (pull out head, hot/cold lever handle, push button stream or spray) are working fine, including better pressure than my original faucet. I have black appliances and just installed "Santa Cecilia" granite counter tops. This faucet matches my counter tops, appliances, oak cabinets and tan tile floor quite well. Going with Delta is a change, but I have not been disappointed. This faucet really gives my kitchen a very modern look. I like that so much....looking to install a Delta "In2ition" shower system in my bathroom shower this winter. November 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful faucet I love this faucet and highly recommend it: - love the look (the first test for everything I buy) although the size is much larger than what I'm used to in a standard sized sink; I adjusted to that quickly - the pull down sprayer makes it easier to direct the spray where you want it - much easier than the individual pull-out side sprayers; the faucet head is magnetized, so it easily detaches and reattaches - the nozzle height allows me to easily fill and clean large pots and cleaning buckets - the height does not cause the water to splash outside of the sink at all - water flow is easily changed from single stream to a shower by hitting a button behind the faucet head - love this feature that standard faucets don't have - the quality is excellent and the product is well-made; even my installer was impressed with it - I rated the value as 'good' instead of excellent only because I think it is too pricey March 31, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great looking bar faucet I love being able to change from a spray to stream and it also looks great and matches the one in the kitchen. June 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice faucet This is a very nice faucet....installing is easy and has good water pressure. April 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Faucet This faucet was installed in my new kitchen in November just before Thanksgiving and I have been using it for the past six months, it is perfect. I am completely satisfied with this purchase, not only does it operate flawlessly, it is a very attractive design and looks great in my beautiful new kitchen. May 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I wanted!! The faucet works wonderfully with our new sink and looks great with the kitchen remodel. Word of caution - the base and column are a bit larger than I realized. Just barely fit against the window sill behind our sink. May 10, 2016
