Product Overview

This Cassidy Single Hole 1-Handle High Arc Bathroom Faucet with Riser in Venetian Bronze is the obvious choice for a timeless, traditionally-styled bath. The Cassidy collection's classical design plays off of the hugely popular Victorian-esque architecture. This WaterSense labeled lavatory faucet flows at a water-efficient rate of 1.2 GPM, helping you to effortlessly conserve water.

Answer:
Hi Deltadawn,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model 798LF-SS does not include a drain assembly. We offer two gird strainers. Model RP47648SS is a grid strainer without overflow holes. Model RP6346SS is a grid strainer with overflow holes.
Thanks.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 798LF-RB will require a hole size of 1 1/18"-1 1/2" for installation. We do suggest that you have the faucet in hand before drilling the holes but we understand that this is not always possible.
Thanks.

Hi Shawn, I contacted Delta to get you an answer. Delta stated you should purchase the faucet first prior to drilling the hole.
On the drawing it shows between 1 1/8"-1 1/2" the diameter of the shape of the bottom of the faucet. If you have the faucet, you can better determine what size hole will be best.

Would this be a good faucet to use with a 16" round x 6" tall Vessel Sink? I'm concerned about splashing. If not, what would the best faucet be for minimum splashing?

I think this would work well. The water comes out in a controlled manner so splashing shouldn't be a problem.

Yes...this faucet was specifically designed for use with a vessel sink. Be sure to understand that you must purchase a grate drain assembly separately as no pop-up drain will work with this faucet.

Answer:
Yes, it would look best with a vessel sink because the spout is quite high (11.56" from the counter). I installed it with my vessel sink and it only splashes if I have it wide open, and depending on your water pressure of course.

Hi Reese,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 798LF-RB is designed to be used with vessel sinks. With the taller spout, it will be high enough for your sink.
Thanks.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice faucet - no grate drain - extra odd spout part This faucet arrived in a box without a drain. The understanding is that there are different drains available and it's your preference which you want which is actually an issue but that depends on your specific faucet selection. Delta DOES inform you in the manual that this faucet is for vessel sinks and is not available with a pop-up drain and covers drain installation for the grid-strainer "specifically for model 798LF only" which is this specific faucet in the delta "Cassidy" collection. There are many reviewers frustrated with the fact that this faucet does not have a pop-up drain which most vessel sink set-ups do not allow in function and design. I also noticed a strange looking insert in the spout of the Venetian Bronze finish on the 798LF-RB model which I specifically received. It looked odd and not aesthetically pleasing at all so I looked in the manual to see what exactly it was and found not a single drawing, part diagram or acknowledgement of this strange part. I then proceeded to look at product photos on-line of other available finishes to see if it was included on them as well. The photos showed that no other finish had it so I contacted a customer service representative regarding this oddity of which I was assuming added for finish durability specifically related to the organic composition of this Venetian bronze finish. Through much discussion with the representative, he contacted the product development department for more in-depth answers because he was not totally aware of the extra spout part since it's not identified. Part of the response is as follows: I'm sorry for any inconvenience. According to our product team, the Venetian Bronze faucets are the only models that include this insert. Since Venetian Bronze is an organic finish and this is unacceptable for a waterway, we added a brass insert that has been PVD (physical vapor deposition) coated to remain in compliance with our Venetian Bronze open channel spouts. The PVD process we use in the manufacture of many of our finished products adds the color to our Brilliance faucets and also provides superior abrasion resistance. With great customer service, the odd extra part is necessary and is not covered in the included literature. I must also add, this part when removed, reveals what looks like a silicone o-ring to seal it within the spout for obvious reasons...a part not covered in the literature which will likely be an issue when the spout starts to leak as it wears and builds up mineral deposits. The insert is held tightly in place with a set screw on the bottom of the spout and when tightened, creates a visible gap between the spout and the spout insert...It just looks bad in my own personal opinion. With all this said, it's a nice faucet but has it's obvious oddity and one that I find not to be aesthetically pleasing however, it does remain functional. I sincerely hope that this information provides helpful insight to the Cassidy Venetian Bronze finish model 798LF-RB vessel faucet and helps you to make a sound decision when reviewing "Vessel Sink Faucets" versus standard Lavatory faucets. I'll stress it again, this faucet only will work with a "grate drain" and NOT the pop-up drain assembly of standard lavatory design. January 17, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Venetian Bronze Faucet for Vessel Style Sink The faucet is a dark bronze color. It looks like oil rubbed bronze with copper highlights. I have included close up pics so that you can see the highlights and how well the faucet works with a granite type deck. It measures 10" from the granite counter top. The installation is very straightforward and simple with 1/2" connectors. The instructions provide clear pictures. This style has the spout that makes it a unique type faucet with a unique on-off handle. It is modern workmanship with the old world charm. I was a little puzzled when I saw the instructions for the pop-up assembly included in the instructions that came with the faucet because there was not a pop-up assembly included in the box. I thought that it was missing from the box. When I checked online I found that the product does not include the pop up assembly. That is the only negative about this beautiful faucet. It seems like the manufacturer should have included the pop up in the product because it is a high end faucet. You shouldn't use abrasives or polish on the finish. They recommend that you wipe it with a damp cloth and then towel dry. If the spout gets lime scale from use, I think that maybe vinegar could remove it. I wouldn't use a lime remover product on this finish. December 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Simple. Stylish. Dark brown with shiny coppery highlights. We paired this with a small copper sink bowl and it looks nice, but would look good with the glass sinks as well. Pretty and unique looking. I have other Venetian bronze faucets, different sizes, and they all match and look to be about the same quality as far as materials and "guts". This one is pricey, and I would guess that is more due to fashion trends. If you got money to burn, go for it. Doesn't come with drain assembly. Could use a better parts diagram. November 25, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Faucet Really good looking and works well. The design sort of looks like bamboo in metal. The handle was a little loose out of the box, but i was able to tighten it up. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I'm sure most are shipped tight. February 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice. I am always looking for the unique, and this faucet matches up to my expectations. Very attractive and functional. April 6, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful and Easy to Install This is a beautiful faucet! Has an old world charm and yet it is very stylish and functional. The instructions were easy to follow, even for a beginner and it took less than 45 minutes to remove our old faucet and install this one. This faucet is best suited with a vessel sink as the spout is quite high. I was disappointed to discover that this does not come with the drain assembly. At this price it really should. Plus that it is a unique finish you want to be sure that the drain matches the faucet. I have tried to find one on Home Depot but I only find the pop up handle and not the drain plug. This is a problem because I want a finished job and I want it all to match. I will continue to research and look for this from the manufacturer. Overall this is a great faucet, very high quality and style, just lacking in that it isn't a complete product for the money. To keep clean just use a soft cloth. No abrasive cleaners as this will take the finish off. January 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely beautiful faucet! This is the most beautiful faucet I've ever seen. I installed in over a vessel sink, and it was an easy install with clear instructions. It doesn't come with the drain assembly, but that is stated up front. This sits 10" high, so it's perfect for use with vessel sinks. January 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A very interesting and beautiful faucet Open channel spout is a great future to enjoy and look at it.Seems old and modern at the same time. High quality and easy to install. We are very happy with it. Pop up should come with it, do not know why it is not included. November 19, 2014
