Messy hands touch on a Delta Touch2O faucet

Delta Cassidy Bar Faucet with Touch2O Technology

Delta Touch2O Technology makes kitchen tasks easy: simply touch anywhere on the spout or handle with your wrist or forearm to start and stop the flow of water. Operates manually (with handle) and with Touch2O functionality.

A Simple Touch Makes Life That Much Easier

Responsive, Precise and Reliable

Touch2O Technology is based on highly responsive, precise and reliable capacitance technology similar to that found on smart phones or tablets. Outside factors such as lighting conditions, clothing color or reflections do not interfere with the sensing capability.

Hand touches faucet on

Full Control

Technology in the faucet spout and handle can sense the difference between a touch and a grab, ensuring the faucet does not turn on and off while being adjusted.

Hand touching Touch-Clean nozzle

Touch-Clean Spray Holes

While other products may gather unsightly mineral build-up, the soft rubber spray holes allow mineral residue to simply be wiped away for an instantly refreshed look.

LED light at base of faucet

TempSense LED Light

Light changes color to alert you to the water’s temperature and reduce possible surprises or discomfort. The LED light also indicates when batteries need to be replaced.

Faucet with magnetic docking

MagnaTite Docking

A powerful integrated magnet snaps your faucet spray wand precisely into place and holds it there. The wand stays docked when not in use and doesn't droop over time.

This Cassidy Touch Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Bar Faucet in Chrome is the obvious choice for a timeless, traditionally-styled kitchen. Inspired by a 1800s ad for a Victorian corset, the bottom of the faucet is pulled in like a cinched corset, adding visual tension with elegant detailing. The Cassidy collection's classical design plays off of the hugely popular Victorian-esque architecture. Touch on. Touch off. With Touch2O Technology, it doesn't matter if you have two full hands or ten messy fingers. Tap anywhere on the spout or handle and the water is running. Turning off the water between tasks is easier too, saving water. MagnaTite docking keeps the kitchen pull-down spray wand firmly in place with a powerful integrated magnet, so it stays docked when not in use.

Customer Questions & Answers

is the entire thing metal, or is the spray handle plastic?

I am hoping to get an all metal faucet, but many I've seen have a plastic spray head.

Difference of Bar Faucet and Kitchen Facet ?

I would like to know the Difference between the Bar Faucet and Kitchen Facet. (ignorance) Can the Bar Faucet be installed in the kitchen ?
Asked by: Tessy
Hi Tessy, Thank you for your question. The difference between the bar faucet and the kitchen faucet is the size of the faucet. The bar faucet is a smaller version of the kitchen faucet. You can install the bar faucet in your kitchen. It is a personal preference. Thanks. Jody

There are 4 Delta Cassidy kitchen faucets ..... all look the same ...... but each has a different price .... $330.00, $25.00, $625.00 & $645.00. Each

Each decription of the Delta Cassidy faucet reads the same. What is the difference? And ..... does the Cassidy faucet come with the "touch" technology?
Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question. There are two differences between the 4 faucets. They are either touch faucets or non-touch faucets, and they are either kitchen faucets or bar/prep faucets. Here is breakdown of models: 9197T-DST is a kitchen and a touch faucet. 9997T-DST is a bar/prep and a touch faucet. 9197-DST is a kitchen and a non-touch faucet. 9997-DST is a bar/prep and a non-touch faucet.

Cassidy Touch Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Bar Faucet in Chrome is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the look and the touch feature but not the restricted water flow We were all excited to install this faucet into our newly renovated kitchen. It looks really pretty and the touch feature is fun to use. One huge issue though! The water flow is more like a trickle and that is of a great disappointment to us. We had the faucet installed by a licensed plumber and the valves are wide open so there are absolutely no restrictions in the lines or in the valve. Yet the trickle that comes out is hardly enough to rinse your hands much less the dishes. The plumber has tried everything he knew of and yet we are left with a trickle. This is so discouraging to us because we were so looking forward to this faucet. We are now having to look for a different faucet to replace the Cassidy. Our renovation included 3 baths and the kitchen and all of them we used Delta products with no water flow issues, this is the largest expense of all of them and the one that does not work to our expectations. Very Sad indeed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fed up We've had a Delta 9997T-DST ToucH2O Cassidy faucet since we remodeled our kitchen 2.5 yrs ago. The performance of this faucet has been spotty at best. Only one week after installation, it would turn on and off by itself, and the touch feature would only work with a very deliberate touch to the faucet's base; touching anywhere along the spout did nothing. After some troubleshooting I found this was because of a wire from the solenoid to the faucet's thread. It attaches with a clip, but this clip has to be on a bare metal surface (most of the thread has plastic insulation) for the touch feature to work properly. Because the solenoid jerks every time you turn the faucet on and off, this clip can slip or become dislodged easily. So every month or so I have to get under the sink and reset this clip to get reliable functionality. That's an annoyance we've had to live with, but in the last week the faucet just doesn't work at all. I touch the faucet, the blue light comes on and I hear the solenoid click, but only a tiny trickle of water comes out. We are reduced to going downstairs to our basement laundry sink to get water for cooking. After online research I believe the solenoid is not opening fully to allow water to flow and needs to be replaced. I am about to try contacting Delta about getting a new solenoid, but at this point I have to say I would just love to have a regular MANUAL faucet again that works and doesn't have these constant headaches. ToucH2O has a long way to go before it is fully productized. Just the placement of the wires near metal (like, say, a sink??) can throw it off. Every time I replace the batteries I can hear the solenoid clicking just from the movement of the wire connected to the battery housing. I'm really surprised Delta would market a product with such sensitive wiring connections when it is meant to be in a tight space near metal sinks, metal hoses and pipes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love it / Hate it. We've had this faucet for close to three years. We quickly grew to love it! Recently, however, it started leaking when turned off. It sometimes will not turn on at all, or will just dribble a bit. while making a water hammer type of noise. Also, sometimes it will not turn off unless done manually. Sometimes it just turns on with no one near it. I've changed the batteries several times, but that doesn't seem to help.. The Delta website does not show any type of repair kit. Is there any type of warranty that covers this?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks beautiful but some issues with sensitivity I read reviews on touch faucets and they generally said improvements have helped with issues such as the faucet turning off when you turn the faucet or disengage the sprayer. I still find this to be an issue especially with the sprayer. However, I would still recommend this faucet overall, just don't expect it to be perfect. My favorite part is not even emphasized in the description. There is a light on the base of the faucet that turns from blue to red as the water heats up. Love that part!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegant appearance with flawless operation This Cassidy Touch Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Bar Faucet in Chrome is a pleasant mini upgrade to our kitchen which seems to be a perfect height and does not seem to overpower the space. Traditional style never goes out of fashion and it actually fits in very well with our current kitchen hardware and décor. Visually, it initially bothered me to see the black ring at the base, but it is growing on me. Right out of the box it has a substantial weight and appears well made. The installation took about one & half hour and since I am not a professional I definitely appreciated the zoomed-in illustrations with the directions. Tools I needed was couple of adjustable wrenches, a Phillips screw driver and a drill to mount the battery housing under the sink. It can be used for top mount or under-mount sinks. I did the top mount and the only frustration I experienced was the awkward positioning to install the weight so the water supply pipes and water filtration pipes were not bumped when the pull down faucet was used. The MagnaTite docking is sweet with no clumsy re-threading for proper placement. The pressure is equivalent to our previous pull down faucet and the Touch2O works faithfully without fail. While cleaning dishes it is so simple to save water with a quick touch. The automatic feature of turning the water off after one minute if left running is sometimes irritating when I need a steady flow for longer period and wish there was a bypass button on the surface of the faucet. Keep touching it or bypass from the box below is the only drawback I see. Talking about warranty, all parts including the polish (excluding electronic parts and batteries) are life time warranted as long as you are the original owner and 5 years for commercial. Such warranty speaks volumes about the quality of this faucet. Overall, I love its elegant appearance and flawless operation.

The overall quality is great and we are extremely happy with it. The LED sensor that changes color with the water temp is very cool and helpful. The spray head retracts back to the neck and stays put. just love the touch sensor when cooking with messy hands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great faucet, can be difficult to keep working properly We have had them for over three years and will never go back to manual faucets in our kitchen again! So much easier to use, and super sanitary too. We have two of these faucets in our kitchen, after 6-9 months they will start to respond erratically, fixed with a battery change. We have had a couple bigger issues, first there was a solenoid problem but a Delta tech came out and replaced the problem parts for free, then we had another problem because it turned out that the plumber who originally installed them did not include a special adapter for our cast iron sinks. We just got a diagnosis for the biggest problem, which is that in one of our sinks in particular it would take a long time (20 seconds sometimes) for cold water to come out when turned to cold. Real problem if you have ever burned yourself in the kitchen! It turns out that if the handle is in the out or open position, even if water is not coming out the spout the hot and cold lines can cross, and the hot water, which wants to expand, will push its way into the cold water line, so we have to flush all that hot out of the cold water line before the cold will come out. There are check valves between the taps in the wall and the supply lines that are supposed to prevent water from going backwards, it seems one or more of those valves has failed. We just ordered new check valves and are hoping that will fix the problem, but in general it means that if you are not using the faucet for a while, it is better to put the handle into the off position to make sure that the hot and cold water lines do not mix.
