Can I use CPVC for the rough-in connections to the valve?

I currently have copper pipe for the lines going to the existing valve (an older Delta) but it would be easier to convert to CPVC so I wondered if there was a reason not to. I would prefer not to use copper, iron or PEX unless I have to. Thanks.

Yes you can and may I recommend the "Sharkbite" connectors it makes it so easy with no leaks. Mine was installed in a mobile home with CPVC.

Hi Denjo,
Consult with your local building department for specific code requirements in your area. Pex would be a better choice.

How do I get valve to turn 180 degrees instead of the 90 degrees it does now, which only allows up to luke warm water mixer and not hot?

Two valves installed in separate shower stalls. One valve actually turns 270 degrees which lets me twice access both cold and warm water inputs. The other valve only turns 90 degrees, which does not give full hot water flow...only luke warm.

Answer:
Take off the handle and readjust the proportioning valve behind the gray plastic disc. Factory setting will only get you Luke warm as mine did. If you don't have instructions they are available on-line at Delta.

Answer:
Read the directions Marc. There is a description about how to adjust a white setting ring. That controls how far to the left the handle can be moved. That controls how much hot water is allowed into the mix of water. It's a safety feature to avoid having someone put the handle all the way to the hot side and burn themselves.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Delta Classic tub and shower faucet I like the finish and function but was sorry that the metal faucet handle was improperly machined so my plumber was unable to install it. He had to install the acrylic handle instead which was not my preference. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product Nice product. Easy care & maintenance. Delta offers a lifetime warranty. July 10, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The tub spout diverter is defective. Our contractor has just installed all the parts of this product. Unfortunately, the tub spout leaks ie, the diverter does not work correctly. I do not want all the parts to be removed for return since replacing everything once I get a new set will incur additional labor costs. I hope Delta will honor its pledge to guarantee its products. Otherwise, the product looks very nice and the shower head itself seems to work. Only time will tell how well all the parts hold up. I will await Delta's reply to my emailed request for a replacement tub spout. November 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Did not come with instructions and the Delta website provided instructions were a nightmare. Delta was of no help and one illustration did not even match what came in the box. Took it back for a product that took about 15 minutest to install after spending parts of two days trying to get this one to work. January 4, 2016
