My tub enclosure is currently 56'` wide by 563/4" high. Will this product work at 58 1/8 inch high? Is it possible to cut the height down to fit?

Unfortunately the height of the top track cannot be adjusted as it is designed to work with the height of the glass (which cannot be cut) but there are a few options available.
Depending on the geometry and style of your enclosure you may choose to cut the top track length to match the internal distance of your enclosure side walls. This would result in a slight gap between the ends of the top track and your side walls above the enclosure.
Some customers use blocking materials and decorative molding rounds to either build out the small area on the side walls to meet the top track prior to installation or to cover the small gap which is left between the top track and the side wall after the shower is installed.
Alternatively, once the side jambs have been installed and the vertical position of the top track is known, some customers choose to cut the top track to the outer wall dimension (the distance above the enclosure walls). They will then trace onto the top track the portion of the top profile of the shower enclosure which interferes with the installation. The interfering portion of the top track is then cut away such that the top track is then able to fit the full wall to wall distance above the shower enclosure. The portion of the top track which is cut around the side wall is then sealed with silicone. This option would only be available if the distance between your outer walls (above the enclosure) is less than 59 inches.
As a third option, there are other shower doors sold at Home Depot which have a height which would fit your needs though they have a “Framed” look rather than the “Semi-Frameless” look you have selected. Read Less

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 22 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Water splashing out from the large opening between the glass door and the bottom rail You have to buy the doors, track assembly and the handles separately. Quality material and easy installation. However when taking a shower, water hits the opening between the inner glass door and the bottom rail, and splashes out onto the floor. Serious amount of water is accumulated on the floor after each shower so the floor has to be mopped each time. That makes the tub door not much better than a shower curtain. I suspected the problem was caused by the large opening between the inner glass door and the bottom rail. So I lowered the inner glass door from its nominal position to the lowest possible position. The resulting gap is 5/16". But the problem remains. There is also a limitation of how low the door could go even if you modify the roller assembly, i.e., there is a plastic door guide in the middle of the bottom rail (see picture 1 below). I contacted Delta and provided a lot of information including pictures and the 5/16" opening I observed. Delta confirmed that my installation was correct, including the 5/16" opening. I have an old sliding tub door that has been working properly for years. So I compared the new tub door with my old tub door. The main difference is an additional attachment at the bottom of my old glass door that seals up the opening between the door and the bottom rail (picture 4). This means water may seep in but never splash out. However as I mentioned earlier there is a plastic door guide sitting in the middle that prevents me from adding any attachment myself. So there is nothing I can do, at least for now. The attached pictures will help you understand the problems: Picture 1. 5/16" inch of opening between the door and the bottom rail (confirmed to be correct, please note the plastic door guide) Picture 2. Water accumulation on the bottom rail ((looking from outside the tub, not a problem by itself but it encourages more splashing) Picture 3. Water accumulation on the floor (in one minute of time) Picture 4. My old sliding door has a bottom attachment to seal the opening February 26, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wet Floor I installed this as directed and I get water all over my floors after every shower. It seems like it is splashing up from the bottom rail. It seems like a design flaw. April 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by happy with it it was not too difficult to assemble. too bad i did not have the tracks to install it. it is a very nice shower door. i have no more to say April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great visual impact on bathroom remodel. I received the doors about a week after ordering. The packaging was good. I installed the doors myself (just an average DIY'er). It took about 4 hours total. Half of that time was spent drilling through tile. I am very happy with how the install turned out. My advice would be to make sure you measure twice and make certain everything is square before starting to drill the holes. These shower doors roll with ease and have a heavy/sturdy feel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very beautiful sliding doors Very nice sliding doors. Smooth glide, beautiful crestfield towel rack. Clear glass allows to show off the tile work and elongates the bath. Really love the look April 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase / Great value Looks great and was the best price for the Oil Rubbed Bronze that I could find. All other sites were double the price. Arrived quickly to Texas Store. March 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by so sleek The door is very sleek and nice to look at. The quality appears to be excellent and was easy to install. It was a little pricy, but glad we went with the added cost for something so nice. December 10, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by IT WILL NOT STAY ON THE TRACK. Had to have pro install it and "I" usually do that. IT WILL NOT STAY ON THE TRACK. Had to have pro install it and "I" usually do that and it still comes off the tarck. I have to just leave on door open all the time and the off track door stays closed. This was an expensive item that I had to order (Since 'my' local dealer rarley ever has anything in-stock) so I am very disappointed. I used to swear by home depot? But this is the last draw. I will go to Lowes as they always have good stuff, in-stock, and I am done once its bought and intalled. March 18, 2014
