about glass

can I get smoked glass in place of clear????
Asked by: bronco
Hello bronco, Thank you for your question about our sliding door. We do not have a "smoked" glass, however we do have one called Niebla that is a frosted glass. That door is also available from Home Depot. If you have any other questions, please call us at 1-800-964-4850. Thank you, John Delta Shower Doors

Customer Reviews

Crestfield 60 in. x 58-1/8 in. Semi-Frameless Sliding Bathtub Door in Bronze with Clear Glass is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product is flawed. After the contractor installed this shower door, I noticed a sizable gap between the glass and the frame on one side. I blamed him and asked him to fix it but he said that was the way it was intended to be installed. I checked the photos and the reviews on this site and I see that indeed the doors were designed that way and some folks are complaining about water leaking out the doors. My question is: why would Delta purposefully design a door that is likely to leak? Very unhappy but waiting for the grout to dry so I can try out this shower and see if it leaks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! These shower doors are absolutely beautiful. Good quality for the price. I would definitely recommend these doors if you want something elegant. Paired with rubbed antique bronze fixtures the doors really pulled the look altogether.

Doors look great and they have to coating on the glass towards the tub to help keep water spots from forming. They were fairly easy to install and the doors slide almost effortlessly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water splashing out from the large opening between the glass door and the bottom rail You have to buy the doors, track assembly and the handles separately. Quality material and easy installation. However when taking a shower, water hits the opening between the inner glass door and the bottom rail, and splashes out onto the floor. Serious amount of water is accumulated on the floor after each shower so the floor has to be mopped each time. That makes the tub door not much better than a shower curtain. I suspected the problem was caused by the large opening between the inner glass door and the bottom rail. So I lowered the inner glass door from its nominal position to the lowest possible position. The resulting gap is 5/16". But the problem remains. There is also a limitation of how low the door could go even if you modify the roller assembly, i.e., there is a plastic door guide in the middle of the bottom rail (see picture 1 below). I contacted Delta and provided a lot of information including pictures and the 5/16" opening I observed. Delta confirmed that my installation was correct, including the 5/16" opening. I have an old sliding tub door that has been working properly for years. So I compared the new tub door with my old tub door. The main difference is an additional attachment at the bottom of my old glass door that seals up the opening between the door and the bottom rail (picture 4). This means water may seep in but never splash out. However as I mentioned earlier there is a plastic door guide sitting in the middle that prevents me from adding any attachment myself. So there is nothing I can do, at least for now. The attached pictures will help you understand the problems: Picture 1. 5/16" inch of opening between the door and the bottom rail (confirmed to be correct, please note the plastic door guide) Picture 2. Water accumulation on the bottom rail ((looking from outside the tub, not a problem by itself but it encourages more splashing) Picture 3. Water accumulation on the floor (in one minute of time) Picture 4. My old sliding door has a bottom attachment to seal the opening
