Answer:
This valve will work for either a shower, a bath or both. You only have to use the plug supplied with the faucet to close the hole you do not need.

The one without the tub spout. May be an outlet for one, but will come with plug or cap. Look at the picture on the box.

Hi Peter, Thank you for your question. The hot and cold supplies on the rough in used in the model B112900 come in from the sides at the 3 and 9 o-clock positions. There would be no benefit to turning the valve upside down.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Peter, Thank you for your question. The hot and cold water supplies are plumbed into the sides of the rough in valve used in the model B112900 at the 3 and 9 o-clock positions. There is no need or benefit to installing the valve upside down as the connections would still be coming in from the sides.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Dear hopeful, I hate to crush your dreams but you will have to reverse the water lines. I hope that you have an access panel to t he valve body, otherwise you may have to create one. Another option is that if you are in a pier and beam home, you can reverse the lines from underneath the home.

Answer:
It does have an adjustment under the handle but you should get cold water first , so you did likely hook the hot yo the cold. But it does have it hot and cold stamped on the back of the unit just have to remember the lines. Be sure you water lines are going to the proper place you may have run either hot or cold in the shower output ?

Thank you for your question. Based on your description, It could be that your hot and cold are reversed. We recommend shutting off your water, and flipping the cartridge over 180 degrees. This should solve your issue.
Thanks.

Answer:
Have to snug the screw in the handle with an allen wrench don't know the size , but under the handle is where the hot water can be adjusted for more or less hot water also. They really should include the wrench with the product.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lack of Hot Water After setting the stop/limiter to provide maximum hot water, the water is luke warm only. I am in the process of replacing the check valves and valve cartridge to try and resolve the problem. August 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good mid range shower faucet I wanted to change my two handle shower into a single handle shower and this was the best choice for me. It comes with the valve and valve body, so you don't have to buy separate components to make it work, everything is there. The valve body can be converted to include a tub if you have one. I would recommend this to everyone. August 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Poor Flow Due To Flow Resrtictor This shower head has very poor flow due to the flow restrictor. When I asked how to remove this, I was refused and advised that removal would viod the warranty. VERY POOR RESPONSE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. August 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by delta foundations single handle 1- spray whose faucet in chrome I select this product for his high quality because I know very good Delta products. July 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by waiting period This single handle shower was not one of your most expensive shower handles but it was good enough for my shower room down in the basement area. My biggest fault, was that I didn't take time to see thr eeviews on it, on diffent blogs. As soon as I had everything piped up, I turned it on...it started leaking badly, while closed. it was not just a drip , you could fill a 2 1/2 gal bucket in less than 15 min. The cartridge was never removed during installment, nor heat was introducted to any part of the body ( used shark bite connectors) Along story short, you guy's agreed to send me a rsplacement cartridge, only problem was, it took 12 days to get it here in CO.; the rest of the work had to be put on hold, until the part came in. I've put many a valve in my 60 years, but nothing like this. Some of the blogs don't encourage me to much. They state that this same product stated leaking after a couple of years ( not good ) So all in all, the product looks great, it's performing without leaking ( for now ) but I would never buy that certain model number again.I have bought Delta before, without any problems..thank u . May 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The genius at Delta is certainly a lawyer! The shower faucet I bought only gives me a quarter turn and leaves shower temp Luke warm. I watched the "adjust the stop" video on Deltas site and none of the examples remotely look like the Delta I've installed. After tinkering with it myself I was able to adjust it a little warmer but a nice hot shower is only gonna happen if I crank the hot water heater thermostat up to scald every one else in the house setting. In which case the lawyers will end up getting what they tried to avoid with this terrible design. Second below par Delta product in the same week. Fool me once... May 12, 2016
