Hi Peter, Thank you for your question. The hot and cold supplies on the rough in used in the model B112900 come in from the sides at the 3 and 9 o-clock positions. There would be no benefit to turning the valve upside down.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Peter, Thank you for your question. The hot and cold water supplies are plumbed into the sides of the rough in valve used in the model B112900 at the 3 and 9 o-clock positions. There is no need or benefit to installing the valve upside down as the connections would still be coming in from the sides.
Thanks,
Dave

This valve will work for either a shower, a bath or both. You only have to use the plug supplied with the faucet to close the hole you do not need.

Dear hopeful, I hate to crush your dreams but you will have to reverse the water lines. I hope that you have an access panel to t he valve body, otherwise you may have to create one. Another option is that if you are in a pier and beam home, you can reverse the lines from underneath the home.

Answer:
It does have an adjustment under the handle but you should get cold water first , so you did likely hook the hot yo the cold. But it does have it hot and cold stamped on the back of the unit just have to remember the lines. Be sure you water lines are going to the proper place you may have run either hot or cold in the shower output ?

Thank you for your question. Based on your description, It could be that your hot and cold are reversed. We recommend shutting off your water, and flipping the cartridge over 180 degrees. This should solve your issue.
Thanks.

Answer:
Have to snug the screw in the handle with an allen wrench don't know the size , but under the handle is where the hot water can be adjusted for more or less hot water also. They really should include the wrench with the product.

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 61 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This set looks very nice in the shower. Good water flow. October 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to instal and adjust Purchased this valve for a new shower installation. I wanted a valve that would balance the water temperature because it never fails that wen I get into the shower, my wife either starts the washing machine, dishwasher, of flushes the toilet (LOL). This valve balances the temperature flawlessly every time. I had my contractor adjust the range of the valve to 100% instead of the 75% position from the factory, as we have a tank-less water heater and use a lower setting than if we had a normal water heater, so we use little to no cold water when showering. The shower head included with this valve was below average regarding water flow witch I knew would be the case, and I bought a Peerless 7 position massage head, and the pressure is great. Over all this is a very good value for the money in my opinion. The four star rating for quality was solely for the average shower head. October 11, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lack of Hot Water After setting the stop/limiter to provide maximum hot water, the water is luke warm only. I am in the process of replacing the check valves and valve cartridge to try and resolve the problem. August 13, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Needs better instructions A few issues that I discovered with the instructions are that they do in fact include a cap for the bottom port that leads to the tub spout. The instructions say it's not included. Had I went thorough all the parts before installing it then I would have figured it out. No need to buy a cap. Also, the only way I found to adjust the temperature adjustment stop was to remove the screw at the end of the control shaft and pull the hex shaped lever mounting thing off. I tried just removing the o-ring as indicated in the instructions but that didn't provide enough room to rotate the blue plastic stop. September 8, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product The product is great the one I got had a week stem, it broke off but Home Depot took care of it, their great! Delta should not put such a long handle on this product or reinforce the stem! August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good mid range shower faucet I wanted to change my two handle shower into a single handle shower and this was the best choice for me. It comes with the valve and valve body, so you don't have to buy separate components to make it work, everything is there. The valve body can be converted to include a tub if you have one. I would recommend this to everyone. August 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Poor Flow Due To Flow Resrtictor This shower head has very poor flow due to the flow restrictor. When I asked how to remove this, I was refused and advised that removal would viod the warranty. VERY POOR RESPONSE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. August 1, 2016
