Answer:
Dear Chicago,
Thank you for your question. The cartridge assembly in the Delta Foundations B114900 model is not the same as an older 1400 series one. This unit would not replace a current 1400 series unit. You would be looking for model numbers starting with a T134 or T144, any of them would work, such as T13420 trim kit.
Best regards,
Tanya

Answer:
Hi johns,
Thanks for your question. When you turn the faucet on, the water will start cold and the further you turn it the hotter the water will get. The volume flows at a fixed rate after the handle moves past the cold setting.
Best regards,
Jon

Answer:
Assuming that you have attempted to retighten the handle...I believe this has a set screw that retightens with an "allen" wrench, I would say you need to contact the manufacturer (DELTA) customer service. 1-800-345-DELTA. My guess is that the handle may be stripped out. You may need to take some pics of your install. The other option is to have a plumber come an look at what the issue might be.

Answer:
Hi J545, Thank you for your question!
We do not carry an OB (Oil rubbed bronze) finish trim for the B114900 in the Delta line. However, our sister company Peerless does carry a trim in the OB finish that will fit the valve. The model is PTT188750-OB.

Foundations Single-Handle 1-Spray Tub and Shower Faucet in Stainless is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 57.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this Delta model I'm a licensed local plumber and have always used and recommended Delta for shower valves. This model comes with no stamp on the valve body and nothing I could find in the literature telling which outlet is up to shower and down to spout. If you guess wrong (as I did thinking it would not matter) water will come out of the shower and the spout at same time even if there is no spout installed and just the copper pipe, so it is not any issue with the spout diverter. Research shows that this is a known problem and now I get to removed the end panel of the break down acrylic tub (thank goodness it wasn't tile as there is no rear access). I'll be replacing with a different model so I don't have further problems. How does a company get to the decision of "we don't need to spend the 20 cents it would cost us to stamp "up" on the body (like we've always done on other models) even though it might cause the consumer a MAJOR disaster?!! Heck, we don't even need to mention it in the instructions!!!" I used to be a Delta fan all the way, but one more snafu like this and I'll be looking for other suppliers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta is the best Advertising used to say, "Buy Moen for life". Well, Moen is junk, now. Delta is the only way to go. Easy to install and repair after 15 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from shower valve This shower/tub valve installed easily. I used pex fittings to put it in the wall and avoided solder. I didn't have to take the valve out of the brass housing because I didn't have to use heat. You can watch a guy on u-tube do this same thing. The price was good. It looks good and works well. I was a name brand product so future parts should be available.
