I have this in my own house and because of its solid design, I use it in clients' homes as well. Nice chunky handle!! Goes with most decore.

Reliable, affordable shower set up. My only criticism is the swivel on the shower head could be a bit more generous in pointing down.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rick Don't buy this Delta model
I'm a licensed local plumber and have always used and recommended Delta for shower valves. This model comes with no stamp on the valve body and nothing I could find in the literature telling which outlet is up to shower and down to spout. If you guess wrong (as I did thinking it would not matter) water will come out of the shower and the spout at same time even if there is no spout installed and just the copper pipe, so it is not any issue with the spout diverter. Research shows that this is a known problem and now I get to removed the end panel of the break down acrylic tub (thank goodness it wasn't tile as there is no rear access). I'll be replacing with a different model so I don't have further problems.
How does a company get to the decision of "we don't need to spend the 20 cents it would cost us to stamp "up" on the body (like we've always done on other models) even though it might cause the consumer a MAJOR disaster?!! Heck, we don't even need to mention it in the instructions!!!"
I used to be a Delta fan all the way, but one more snafu like this and I'll be looking for other suppliers.

Advertising used to say, "Buy Moen for life". Well, Moen is junk, now. Delta is the only way to go. Easy to install and repair after 15 years.

It appears easy to install this item. It has not actually been installed.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by eyesspee Brand new and it leaks past the O-rings on the cartridge
Installed the assembly in the rough in and plumbed it in. Tested it before drywalling and had a steady leak out the bottom between the bonnet nut and the valve housing. Took the bonnet nut off to remove the cartridge and couldn't see anything obviously wrong with the cartridge. Reinstalled and tightened up the bonnet nut extremely tight and drip slowed but did not go away. Guess I'll have to uninstall it and take it back to Home Depot for a refund. Glad the drywall wasn't yet installed. Lousy lousy quality that it leaks from that location brand new out of the box.

Cheap construction. Tub spout has a plastic sleeve that leaks. New design that I will not use again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jim shower valve
This shower/tub valve installed easily. I used pex fittings to put it in the wall and avoided solder. I didn't have to take the valve out of the brass housing because I didn't have to use heat. You can watch a guy on u-tube do this same thing. The price was good. It looks good and works well. I was a name brand product so future parts should be available.
