Purchased the faucet w/sprayer a year old and looks good, has worked fine until recently. It drips after each use. Is there some direction that I might repair this minor, but annoying problem?

Hi Jack,
Thank you for your question. Please try removing the aerator and soaking it in a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution for about 15 minutes. This will help dissolve any mineral buildup that may cause water to become trapped in the aerator and drain out more slowly. You can also turn the water on with the aerator removed to test it. Answer:
Not sure this will help. Some diverters use 1/8" pipe thread. Some use slip fitting with a U-shaped clip to hold the spray hose to the faucet. If it's 1/8" pipe just get a pipe plug or cap and you are all set. If it a slip fitting with a clip you may have to get creative.
Good luck.

I have read that chrome faucets and brass fixtures can cause lead in the water. Will this faucet cause lead in the water?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from There are much better faucets for less money. I just replaced this with a Peerless kitchen fauce... There are much better faucets for less money. I just replaced this with a Peerless kitchen faucet for $22 less than this one - Model # 203782343 - has nice high arc and very fast to install. I had this model faucet for about 4 years. It started leaking at the base after three years and Delta customer support sent me a rebuild kit - so no complaints except for the hours to call/replace/other. Recently, I had the issue which so many others reported - the leaking side sprayer. I replaced the side sprayer with an after market one and it leaks too because the faucet doesn't regulate the pressure correctly. So, save yourself the mess and bother of fixing or replacing this faucet and buy a better one for the same cost or less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Delta product, as always. I used Delta for years in Property Management and at home when I could. If you ever need to repair a faucet, you can find individual parts or kits at almost any hardware store and the process is simple. My kitchen faucet/sprayer unit had been changed twice in several years with alternate brands because of pricing or availability. The removal and replacement steps were not always pleasant! Either the removal involved a Dremel cutting tool (purchased at Home Depot) and bruised knuckles, or the installation required contortionist skills. This time, the removal required a "Dremel", but Delta has improved their installation process from very good to "smooth". I almost wanted to take the unit out and re-install it because it was such a joy! The faucet and sprayer look great and perform up to what I expect from Delta.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Had to replace in less than a year. The sprayer began to leak after less than a year of moderate use. Pick another faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality and very sharp to look at I replaced an old Delta that had to be original to the house (50+ years) that I had been very happy with. When it finally came time to replace it I headed straight to the Delta faucet section at my local home improvement store. It looks beautiful and so easy to use. My old one had two separate handles for the hot and cold and this new one has one sleek handle and I love it. So much easier to adjust the temperature that you want. And, I still wanted the side sprayer separately and Delta came thru on that, too. Plus the new sprayer is chrome just like the faucet unlike the old black one. Love this product and love Delta!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lousy diverter. You can get better for cheaper As other reviewers have pointed out, this faucet has a cheaply constructed spray diverter which cannot handle the source water pressure. The faucet emits a very loud thudding sound when turning on either hot or cold water and when depressing the sprayer button. This sound was so loud I was concerned it would bother my neighbors. The entire faucet would violently jerk when doing this, despite being secured tightly with the provided (cheap plastic) fasteners. I did everything I could to ensure it wasn't an air bubble or debris caught in a line. Reconnected the lines multiple times, flushed the faucet with the aerator removed, adjusted the water pressure. I even took apart the faucet and removed the diverter (mostly lightweight plastic), examined it for defects or debris, and replaced it. Nothing helped. Returned it and got a Moen Brandbury instead. I know Delta mostly makes budget-friendly faucets but this is completely unacceptable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bought this faucet to replace an older one that went bad. Paid a plumber to install and soon aft... Bought this faucet to replace an older one that went bad. Paid a plumber to install and soon after words the faucet developed a distinct banging noise ( I'm thinking "Water Hammer") every time you turn the water on. Really annoying. It is unknown if what ever is causing this loud banging noise will reduce the service life of this faucet. I did notice that the copper tubes going into the bottom of the faucet were tiny compared to the one that came out. I really hope cost cutting on the part of the manufacturer is not responsible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Believe the Low Reviews! (This purchase can be verified) Immediately after install, I experienced rather violent thumping of water through the faucet and leaking around the sprayer as noted in many other reviews. I’m just taking it back to Home Depot. Here’s the funny thing. When I read reviews I only look at those noted that are verified purchases because I think someone went through the effort of verifying purchases, and those that have been verified are more credible (I thought). I also assume that those that are not verified are not true or perhaps a competitor attempting to influence the specific product or the retailer. It does not appear that any of the critical lower-rated reviews that I read before this purchase were verified; even the video review of the exact same faucet doing the exact same thing as mine. It makes me wonder if HD Is attempting to discredit the lower reviews by not verifying them. I will never buy another Delta product again because they have to be aware of this issue. I’m also considering using supply houses for my needs rather than Home Depot based upon this and other recent problems I’ve had there. Really, why would HD continue to sell this junk and risk future sales? This issue goes back quite a while on their own website. Is anybody driving this train?
