Is the faucet faulty?

This question is from Foundations Single-Handle Standard Kitchen Faucet with Side Sprayer in Stainless

My landlord had this faucet installed and it clunks when you turn on the water but the sprayer has low pressure. I've been told that the clunk is normal because of the pressure coming into the condo complex. After troubleshooting I've found that it could be that the sprayer diverter is not working properly - the pressure is not being evenly distributed. Is this common with this faucet? Can it be fixed or would I need a whole new faucet?

Answer:
This is indeed a common problem with this faucet. It is possible to replace the diverter but the replacement will have similar construction and might not fix anything. Home Depot sells Delta diverters for a couple bucks so it might be worth it to try that before replacing the whole sink, but I recommend just replacing the whole thing.

Answer:
It's definitely the diverter valve not being able to handle the supply pressure. Either you can try to replace the diverter with a 3rd party one or turn the supply line valves partially down to reduce the pressure. The second option worked for me.

Answer:
I had the same issue. For me, it was the diverter. I got a replacement diverter from Home Depot. It is made by Danco. It's not tough at all to replace and only cost $3. Took about 5 minutes to switch out and the clunk disappeared. The Delta diverter is cheap plastic and seems to be lousy at its job.

I installed one and the sprayer pressure is great. I would have another installed. It also does sound like you have a water pressure problem, which your condo association needs to look into.

Answer:
I don't think so. By default, the diverter directs water through the line that supplies the sprayer unless the sprayer is installed, so without the sprayer installed water will not come out of the faucet and will just go through the sprayer line.

Answer:
HI Curtis,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # B4410LF-SS can be used without the sprayer if you get a plug for the spray diverter. We recommend model # RP60295.
Thanks.

I have RP51505 aerator attachment that is NOT compatible with my new Delta model 3353-DST. At the time that I was purchasing it I was assured by Delta that my 3353 could be adapted for a portable dishwasher. Not true.

Can THIS model be adapted to a portable dishwasher and what other Delta models can be as well??

Answer:
This is not a water saver faucet. The aerator permits 1.8 GPM. Make sure your shutoff valves are all the way open and run the faucet with the aerator removed to clear any debris blocking the flow.

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 75 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lousy diverter. You can get better for cheaper As other reviewers have pointed out, this faucet has a cheaply constructed spray diverter which cannot handle the source water pressure. The faucet emits a very loud thudding sound when turning on either hot or cold water and when depressing the sprayer button. This sound was so loud I was concerned it would bother my neighbors. The entire faucet would violently jerk when doing this, despite being secured tightly with the provided (cheap plastic) fasteners. I did everything I could to ensure it wasn't an air bubble or debris caught in a line. Reconnected the lines multiple times, flushed the faucet with the aerator removed, adjusted the water pressure. I even took apart the faucet and removed the diverter (mostly lightweight plastic), examined it for defects or debris, and replaced it. Nothing helped. Returned it and got a Moen Brandbury instead. I know Delta mostly makes budget-friendly faucets but this is completely unacceptable. September 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Delta Diverter Previous Delta faucet that was 3 yrs old pulsated from faucet and sprayer leaked whenever faucet was turned on. Installed new Delta faucet Aug on 2015 and same issue occured 10 month later. Delta graciously offered to ship me a new diverter. From what I see on the web sites this is a common problem but Delta will not admit it. I would not buy this product nor any other lower end Delta product August 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT BUY Garbage! aweful thumping noise when you turn it on.I thought my water pressure was too high.Paid plumber to check pressure also called water company.. My water pressure is fine .Its the faucet.Plus now pin holes along right side of spout..DO NOT BUY THIS !! August 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great....for a while....but... We bought and installed this faucet 18 months ago and it has worked fine up until about 2 or 3 months ago. First we started noticing a lot of water in the cabinet under the sink and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. We eventually realized that the side sprayer was leaking from the button (the part that gets depressed to divert the water to the sprayer), and that water was making its way through the hole it sits in and soaking the things below. Not good. After tightening things up and adding some teflon tape for good measure, it's not only still leaking, but now it's making shuddering/knocking sounds due to the amount of air that enters the line since the seal (or something) has failed. Good faucets last years and years. This only lasted 15-16 months before it started displaying issues. Not a good investment in my book. :( August 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sink Great system easy install the only qualm was that my PUR water filter weighs on it a bit but that is obviously from the sink being a lighter metal. June 21, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kitchen faucet Very easy to install even with a crippled shoulder. Very happy with the way it works. June 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bough two, both make irritating, clunking noises and the sprayer leaks. I bought two of these for rental homes. Both make a loud banging sound, coming only from the faucet. The sprayer leaks at the head. Garbage. June 3, 2016
