Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 16953-DST will stay on in the spray or stream mode without you holding the switch. It will stay in that mode until you switch it whether the faucet is on or off.

It seems to be clogged with mineral deposits. Looks like it requires a special tool. Can only see little notches around the outside of the circled aerator. Please help. Thanks!!

The faucet box includes a blue plastic ring shape thing. It's for removing the aerator. We attached it to the pipe under the sink so we don't lose it.

The faucet comes with a tool to remove the aerator - but it doesn't look like much other than random packing debris, so it's possible you threw it out... If you don't have the tool, perhaps Delta can send another?? Good luck!

Answer:
There's a plastic tool that came with it the faucet. It's blue in color and it fits right under the tip of the aerator. All you have to do is twist it off to the left to loosen it and then the aerator can be remove by hand.

Answer:
Use a pair of pliers, placing layered cloth or something else between the pliers and the aerator to prevent scratches, turning the pliers to your left as you face the faucet. Don't squeeze the pliers too tightly; it doesn't take much effort. I always hand tighten mine so that I don't need a tool to loosen them.

Answer:
Yes special tool is provided with the faucet however you should be able to buy a tool from home improvement store or can try to jerry rig it with tool at home. Just make sure to not use a abrasive tool cause it could damage the coating.

Hi CJM777,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 16953-DST does require a special aerator wrench to remove the aerator. The wrench is included in the box. If this has been misplaced, you can purchase one from your local associate by ordering model # RP50815.
Thanks.

NO! Do not even use Lime Away. Use Mr. Clean or similar cleaner with a rag and elbow grease. Do it frequently. It will stay nice.

Answer:
Hi Femalecustomer,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 16953-DST is not recommended to be cleaned with harsh cleaners like Ajax. We recommend using mild soap and water or you can use a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water to clean your faucet.
Thanks.

I don't know. I avoid harsh, abrasive cleaners by frequently cleaning my fixtures with a mild cleaning solution. This particular faucet, of which I have three, is very easy to keep clean and it really shines.

Answer:
Hi Tistheseason,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 16953-DST may or may not need to be dead center to be shut off. It depends on where the cartridge ends up sitting in the hub. It will be pretty close to the center though.
Thanks.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to clean, maintains a great shine The faucet functions well. Easy to clean and maneveuer. The spray attachment is light which allows for ease of use. Cleans well and resists water spots well. August 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install It is very easy to install. It is an inexpensive faucet, so there's lots of plastic. It seems like it works pretty well and I would say that it's an OK faucet and will get the job done. The pullout head is a little rough getting back in, you have to jiggle it. August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best kitchen faucet ever! I love this faucet. it is a little higher than my old faucet but that helps reduce splashing if sprayer is left on. I love that it keeps the last setting so I can leave sprayer on to save water when washing or rinsing dishes. The finish is bright and shiny after months of use. I am very pleased. August 10, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Handle won't stay in place The faucet installed easily and fit was good but after about a month of use the handle wont stay in place. This is the part that gets a lot of use and one would think that this part would be better engineered for ease of use. I'm probably going to replace it because in it's current state it's too aggravating to deal with. This was my 4th Delta faucet and it's kind of disappointing March 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by kitchen faucet. fairly easy to install. well made. very good quality. July 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far, so great! We purchased as a replacement for our 16 year old Moen faucet. We chose this one because it looked pretty similar to what we had. Easy to install (the hard part was getting the old faucet out!) Well-priced at $98. Came with everything we needed except for a couple of tools and silicone. Looks great! Time will tell but we are very happy so far. November 7, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok Good bivalve for the price it is not an exceptional faucet but easy to install July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value Delta quality at a great price. I love the selectable spray or stream and pull-out wand. Included supply lines saved from having to purchase separately. June 2, 2016
