How do I make this mirror stay upright, without a downward tilt?

This question is from Greenwich Mirror 24 in. x 18 in. in Satin Nickel
Asked by

This mirror is already installed and we cannot get it to remain straight. It has a continious downward tilt. When purchased I had no idea it was a constant downward tilt, it markets as a tilting mirror, which I thought meant you could tilt it up or down.

Answer:
Hello Cj and thank you for your question.
You may have the old style rubber bushings – the new ones will keep the mirror in the upward (straight) position as you desire. Please call Liberty Hardware at 1-800-542-3789 and they will ship you the sturdier replacement bushings at no charge.
Best wishes on your beautiful mirror.

Greenwich Mirror 24 in. x 18 in. in Satin Nickel is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECTLY SIZED PERFECT SIZE MIRROR FOR MY SMALL BATHROOM. PRETTY EASY TO HANG, AND THE MIRROR STAYS IN THE TILTED POSITION THAT YOU PLACE IT IN. IM A VERY PICKY PERSON AND OVERALL I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mirror - don't let tilt issue deter you - it's super easy to fix I selected this mirror out of several other oval tilt mirrors because it's smaller size worked perfectly in my small bathroom. It is true that the bushings provided with the mirror aren't tight enough, so the mirror won't stay put when tilted upwards. However, I followed the advice of other reviews and ordered the replacement part. I have to say that I've never experienced better customer service! The CSR was super friendly, polite and helpful -- even giving me advice on how to replace it. The part came promptly and was easy to install. Not a huge deal -- just something to be aware of -- very much worth the minor extra effort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from With 1 EXTRA Step 5 Star This "adjustable mirror" does not hold in place. I had to buy a 3" coiled door stop (screw came with) & get a drywall anchor for the screw. Then I took the white end cap off the coiled door stop and used a hack saw to cut it down to 2.75" and then re-covered the end with the white cap. Then after locating where behind the mirror I wanted the stopper I drilled a hole with a 7/32 bit (for my drywall anchor). After inserting the anchor, I screwed on the coiled door stop base, then attached the coil door stop. Then the mirror was put back on and now it holds straight in place how I like it. The mirror adds charm over my pedestal sink...great addition!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solution to Tilting Problem on Greenwich Mirror by Delta To all that buy this mirror, you will find it tilts downwards! Not to worry call Delta and they will send you out a solution to the problem, I did and it arrived quickly and it worked. Love my mirror! Thank you delta for great customer service!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor construction. Just like the other reviews instruction template was one inch off and the mirror will not hold a tilt. Same problem with all three of them and took all of them back. Product has very poorly constructed hinges. No where compares to a Moen which is only $5.00 more. Home Depot needs to discontinue the sale of this poor product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful mirror! We love the mirror, despite the issue with the bushings. They send the new bushings right away after calling, so it's not an issue. I would suggest waiting to install the mirror until the bushings come in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Aside from the fact that the mirror doesn't pivot, it's a nice lookng mirror. This could actually be a great product, but given the fact that you have to have parts sent from the manufacturer in order for the mirror to pivot, is more than what a consumer should have to do. Knowing that this has been an ongoing problem, the company should have pulled the mirrors and corrected them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Call Delta for a solution - don't return the mirror I too went back to the store to get a replacement as I thought the mirror I purchased was defective. However, it was a manufacturer issue with the rubber brushing being too small and the mirror only resting in the forward position. Delta will give you a solution and you will be able to use your mirror as advertised. It's a minor inconvenience for a good product.
