How do I make this mirror stay upright, without a downward tilt?

This question is from Greenwich Mirror 24 in. x 18 in. in Satin Nickel
Asked by

This mirror is already installed and we cannot get it to remain straight. It has a continious downward tilt. When purchased I had no idea it was a constant downward tilt, it markets as a tilting mirror, which I thought meant you could tilt it up or down.

Answer:
Hello Cj and thank you for your question.
You may have the old style rubber bushings – the new ones will keep the mirror in the upward (straight) position as you desire. Please call Liberty Hardware at 1-800-542-3789 and they will ship you the sturdier replacement bushings at no charge.
Best wishes on your beautiful mirror.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.6 out of 5 by 22 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful mirror! We love the mirror, despite the issue with the bushings. They send the new bushings right away after calling, so it's not an issue. I would suggest waiting to install the mirror until the bushings come in. May 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by With 1 EXTRA Step 5 Star This "adjustable mirror" does not hold in place. I had to buy a 3" coiled door stop (screw came with) & get a drywall anchor for the screw. Then I took the white end cap off the coiled door stop and used a hack saw to cut it down to 2.75" and then re-covered the end with the white cap. Then after locating where behind the mirror I wanted the stopper I drilled a hole with a 7/32 bit (for my drywall anchor). After inserting the anchor, I screwed on the coiled door stop base, then attached the coil door stop. Then the mirror was put back on and now it holds straight in place how I like it. The mirror adds charm over my pedestal sink...great addition!!! May 8, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice product, despite wrong instructions. Bought 2 mirrors. 1 box had the wrong install info. The second one was correct. I unfortunatly opened the box with the wrong install info. Half hour later I opened the second one and compared the instructions, and low and nejold there wad the problem. One set of instructions had a different measurement than the other. February 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Mirror - don't let tilt issue deter you - it's super easy to fix I selected this mirror out of several other oval tilt mirrors because it's smaller size worked perfectly in my small bathroom. It is true that the bushings provided with the mirror aren't tight enough, so the mirror won't stay put when tilted upwards. However, I followed the advice of other reviews and ordered the replacement part. I have to say that I've never experienced better customer service! The CSR was super friendly, polite and helpful -- even giving me advice on how to replace it. The part came promptly and was easy to install. Not a huge deal -- just something to be aware of -- very much worth the minor extra effort. January 13, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Fantasy Mirror I do not believe this mirror exists. We thought we saw it at HD in Kalamazoo, wrote down the measurments, decided it would work; went to Benton Harbor HD and they didn't have it. Went back to Kazoo... they didn't have it, looked online and found it, went to BH HD and had a very helpful salesperson help us find it in the BOOK, they called HD Online; I spoke to the man and double checked size, model no., etc.; we ordered it... it arrived this week! It was 24"x18" instead of 28.75" x 20.75". I am very diasappointed... I THINK we'd like it if we could ever buy it. February 5, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great buy!! Beautiful mirror!! Love that is angles. This matches beautifully with our other bathroom fixtures! Very elegant!! July 1, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tilt Angle Cannot be Adjusted - Full Tilt Down Only I purchased this Delta brand tilting bathroom mirror a few months ago from the Home Depot. I understand from Delta, that this item is manufactured and sold Liberty Hardware. The mirror is defective, in that the tilt cannot be adjusted. Every time I try to adjust the tilt, it returns back to the full tilt down position. I double checked the installation, and it is correct. The only way that I can get the mirror to stay in a position other than full tilt down is by placing a paper cup behind it. My wife contacted Delta and was told they didn't manufacture it. I have now contacted Liberty Hardware. I am awaiting their response. Some other buyers appear to have received a part that fixes the tilt position problem. However, I should not have to Google the problem and order some other part. I recommend the similar Moen mirror that is a few dollars more. I have two in another bathroom, and they work great. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NOT EASY INSTALLATION The template for the "easy installation" has incorrect measurements. It is NOT an easy installation. May 19, 2014
