I like a good shower and a handheld is a must for proper cleaning and rinsing, in my opinion. So when we bought our first home, I decided to splurge on a really nice shower head upgrade. There were several things that attracted me to this model.
First, unlike most handheld shower heads, this one cradles at the head rather than at the bottom of the handle. This brings the water spray lower and is perfect for shower stalls. The other kind usually sprays way too high for stalls sending the water way too high so you are doing acrobatics trying to get under it.
Second, I was intrigued by the dual water delivery (the static head and the handheld). Third, it is beautiful.
Installation was a cinch – don't forget to purchase some plumbers tape though to seal the deal. This is a must with all shower heads.
Now that I've been using this for a few weeks, I can say that I am really happy with my purchase. I have not had the problems others have complained about with similar Delta models with docking the handheld portion when not in use. It clicks in and that's it. It's secure. Maybe those complaints are warranted on cheaper models, but not this one.
I love the different water flow settings and the pause function. Note that the pause function does not stop the water entirely (if that is important to you), but just brings it down to a dribble. It still saves water. The hose is really nice and very flexible, much nicer than any I've ever had before.
I usually remove the little water-saving piece out of my shower heads in hopes of getting better water pressure, but I did not do that with this one, and I'm still pleased with the pressure. It's not quite a deluge, but it's got power.
I highly recommend this shower head. It's just one of those little things that improves your day-to-day. If you can afford the price tag, I say go for it. It's a nice investment.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by annibell The best of both worlds: handheld with some powerwashing
My husband wants skin blistering pressure, I want a hand held wand and a lighter touch. We have tried MANY handheld/mounted head combos like this over the last 8 years. I am a compulsive researcher, and read every review I can get my hands on. This one received the highest and most consistent reviews. Thankfully it is living up to the hype.
Pressure: My husband is satisfied, with the setting where it is all coming through the mounted head. I find that a little rough. If I switch it to the half way point between the mounted head and hand held, it's perfect for me. We both love the wide field of water coverage.
Hand held mount: I like that it is firmly held into place. You know for sure that it is in place, and it takes some intentional effort to remove/replace it. This prevents me from bumping it out of place and hitting myself on the head. (Don't laugh, this has happened to me)
Hand held settings: Great broad stream, and a very focussed one. There's one in between, but I don't see much need for it. I thought the "pause" feature was kind of dumb, until I tried it out. it's great for cleaning! You pause and soap/scrub an area, turn it back on to rinse, and repeat. Saves water and keeps you from drenching yourself when you don't need the water. I don't see any need for other settings.
Price/Value: This may seem expensive, but it is a marked improvement from the $25-75 models we have tried. It is quality materials, and I have read complaints that for the cost they expect stainless steal rather than plastic. I can only imagine that that would be very heavy. The look/feel is substantial and premium enough, that I can't complain. We were replacing a premium Delta showerhead, and the finish matches perfectly with the shower head arm and wall mount/handles. Bottom line, it is on par with their other premium hardware. If you appreciate the difference between premium hardware over the blister pack standards in big box stores, you will appreciate the difference.
Limitations: Every handheld/showerhead combo we have used to date, is plastic and has weak pressure, in at least one or more setting. Ensuring that the main setting is forceful is important for us, this does that. If you are looking for equally blistering pressure from the wand, this might let you down. I find it very forceful, but my husband would only rate it as "ok". I saw complaints about limited number of settings. I am not creative enough to figure out what do with any more settings than this one has. If you are, you might be disappointed.

I am not one to write reviews, but I recently went through a shower head analysis and after trying three different shower heads, I learned my lesson. The other shower heads were flimsy and had poor water pressure, but this one is great!!! The rain technology is very cool and there are a wealth of different settings to choose from. The water pressure is great and the shower head holster is very sturdy. It is definitely worth the $$$. If you shower every day, you will be that much happier once a day that you invested in this shower head!!!

I've been using this Delta shower head for about a month now and really could not be happier. It actually does was it claims to do, which is give the feeling of more water and more water pressure coming out of the shower head because of their H2Okinetic feature.
Another nice feature is the "pause" function which allows you to slow the water to a dribble so you can soap up or shave. I imagine using this feature could save you a lot of water if used often.
I have not had the problem some others noted with the handheld part not locking into it's place in the main shower head. As long as you put it in top first and push hard enough it locks in every time.
The only caution I would give potential buyers is that depending on how long your supply line is that you screw the shower head onto, you may not have much flexibility as far as angling it up or down. Since the handheld is attached to the main head it makes the overall length of the shower head longer so it will hit the wall if you try to angle it down too much. I'm tall enough this doesn't affect me, but my wife can't get it to a proper angle because she is shorter than me. I will have to switch out the shower supply arm to a different shape or longer.... But since that doesn't have anything to do with the performance of the product I wouldn't lower my opinion of it because of that. It's a great product and feels very solid and well made, especially in the stainless steel finish.

I bought this for one reason - water pressure. The pressure wasn't even as good as the builder grade one that I had already. Maybe if I could have gotten the flow restrictor out, it would have been great, but I was not able to and neither was my contractor. It's nice looking, but not worth the money. I returned it.

Installed this for my mother who is 90 yrs old so she could sit down and use the attachment head at a lower level. Attached the secondary head to shower bar using Deltas Bar mount and this is a perfect shower for her now! Great spray pattern and she loves the pause button that allows her the freedom to be independent while showering. Thanks Delta!
