Customer Questions & Answers

Is this available as R18224-WS?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi yes it is, Model # R18224-WS Internet # 100435887 Store SO SKU# 777720 For those that do not know what the suffix -WS means, With Stops, there are two shutoff valves built into the Delta valve so you can shut the water off at the valve with screwdriver and not the entire house to change the cartridge or O rings when the time comes. Common for apartment or condo where there is only a common shutoff and that would shut the water off to additional apartments. No big deal for a single family home. Regards

Jetted Shower XO System Rough-In Valve-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from DELTA SHOWER VAVLES The Delta Monitor valve is the best valve to install and maintain. I always install the Monitor valve as first choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great way to upgrade your old shower w/o spending big $$ This is a great way to upgrade the shower from builder grade to Delta grade, the low water consumption jets are a nice touch. Yes, it don't come with the trim, you select it now or later and that is extra but it keeps the price low because Delta sells the guts (valve assembly) separate from the trims. You can also change out trims if you want to redecorate the bath or shower and you do not have to spend big money to have the valving replaced. Smart. Check out the delta website for the installation pdf.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Need this for Delta Jetted System I recently purchased a Delta Jetted Shower (the one with the single jets coming from the lever trim). Because of the intricacies of this system, it required this special rough-in valve. The valve is fairly well made and high quality. My plumber was able to put it in with no real problems, however it did require some extra soldering and moving pipes around because of the shape. He said this was not the easiest install he ever did. I think it would be a lot easier if Delta included this with the jetted shower trim as it is my understanding that it is a necessity. However, it does make the shower system seem less expensive until you realize you have to order this for an additional $80. Probably not a DIY installation though. You'll want to have your plumber do it unless you are really knowledgeable about plumbing.
