The soap reservoir is a cylinder that holds up to 8 ounces of soap. To fill it you simply lift the dispenser up and out.

Which gasket do you use?

I just purchased this for my kitchen. There is a grey thick foam "gasket" and a white (not as dense) "gasket". Where do I use these? It calls for spout gasket above the washer and mounting hardware. It also calls for one witht he handle assembly. Which goes to which?

Answer:
If you look carefully at both gaskets, you will notice a slight difference in size. Try each one in place, on the object (spout, handle) for which it was intended, and you will find that one fits better on the spout, and one fits better on the handle. There's even an actual groove that the correct gasket fits into on one of them, that defines which one to use, as the other gasket doesn't fit the groove. Read More

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 16970-SSSD-DST does have two gaskets. The thicker "gray" gasket goes under the handle and the the white gasket goes under the spout.

Answer:
I used the grey gasket under the valve assembly and the white gasket under the spout handle assembly. Seems to work okay with no leaks detected. This is the nicest faucet I have ever installed.

Answer:
This will mount in a 4 hole sink but you will have 1 extra hole that can be used for filtered or heated water, or can be capped off. This faucet is designed to be mounted into the counter top but can be used on a standard sink also.

Thanks for your question. This model is meant to be installed as a three-hole application. You would be left with an open hole since this faucet does not come with an optional escutcheon. You could use a hole cover in matching finish to cover the extra hole.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 178 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I love my new Delta Kate Faucet I ordered this faucet in stainless steel online and was worried the color would not match my sink. I couldn't be happier. The faucet looks fantastic and works very well. As I have four holes in my sink, I also ordered an additional soap dispenser for hand soap. My husband took our old faucet out and installed the new faucet in less than an hour. Initially, I did want to order the Pilar no touch faucet; however it only came with a five year warranty and a lot of the reviews mentioned that they had problems with the solenoid. I want a product I can rely on. This faucet came with a lifetime warranty and has great reviews. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new faucet. It will match any decor. May 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great faucet We wanted a pull-down faucet but did not want to spend over $200. This faucet is a great value and has all the features we wanted. Reasonably easy install with only minor head scratching trying to determine which washer to use on the faucet vs. the handle. The only negative for us is that that the base of the handle and soap dispenser are a little wider than our sink is designed for. One edge of each base sits on the lip around our top-mount sink and leaves a small gap between it and the sink base. This will probably not be an issue for undermount sinks. I would love for HD to have more detailed specs of measurements so that DIYers could know what will fit before purchase. September 4, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Delta Kate Single Handle Pull-down Kitchen Faucet Ordered on line, it was delivered within 3 days. Great service with shipping. The directions were easy to follow. I'm a 40 year old female, never touched anything to do with plumbing before doing this. I installed it all by my self (I could have used an extra hand to hold things in place while I tightened things up, but got through it) and it works wonderful. I wish I would have done this years ago. What took the longest was taking the old nasty faucet off. August 25, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful faucet Can't comment on ease of installation as I had a plumber do it. But it's beautiful and works very well. I love that it swivels completely out of the way when necessary. One glitch we had was that the factory setting for the hot/cold mix was not in position one as the paper says and we couldn't figure out why we didn't have hot water. Had to call the plumber to get that solved. But so far, so good! July 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well made and Good Looking This product is very stylish. Not too modern or too country looking. I love the magnetic Magna Tite docking because it sets very securely when not in use. It has a very sturdy feel to it and has worked great since it was installed. Looking forward to many years of use. December 26, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Sleek & Stylish! I purchased this faucet to go with the new sink and countertops that we installed and it looks great! I love the pull-down nozzle and it really has updated my 1978 kitchen and gives it a more modern and contemporary look. It works great and I have had no problems with it at all! August 31, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE my new faucet The handle sticking out towards you is wonderful! Keeps much cleaner than the ones sticking up as the soap, water, etc. doesn't drip down it. Very happy with it! March 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It looks great! Looks beautiful and it matches my stainless LG appliances. I recommend this faucet to my friends and family. November 5, 2013
