Answer:
Thank you for your question, Michele. 16" may not be enough room. The faucet is 14 7/8" tall, with a mounting shank of several inches. If you remove the spout first, you can install the body of the faucet, but the spout will then have to fit over a 2" tube. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 1-800-345-3358 or email customerservice@deltafaucet.com.

There was no cover for a dishwasher vent with my faucet. My model 9178-DST did come with a matching dish soap dispenser. How much space do I need

How much space do I need behind the faucet to fit. Right now my existing faucet almost touches backslash. Does the on/off hot/cold handle move forward and backwards so it would need space.

Also how do you make the handle turn from hot to cold, pulling forward and backwards? A better description would be nice

Answer:
Hi Rain,
Thank you for your question! This faucet requires a minimum 2 1/2" clearance from the backsplash to the center of the installation hole. Please see the Specification sheet for this and other measurements.
The handle moves in a triangular pattern, with full volume being tilted away from the faucet. Tilt the handle back for hot water or forward for cold.
Best regards,
Jon

Rain, if you have room to mount the faucet you will be able to operate it. The amount of lever movement required for full hot or full cold does not exceed the depth of the base. Hot is achieved by pushing handle away or cold by pulling toward yourself when handle is mounted on right side. Volume is adjusted by moving lever downward towards the right.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 336 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by another great Delta product I ordered this faucet online because our local Home Depot doesn't stock many selections in the chrome finish. The trend now is for the stainless finish. Those are beautiful but won't match the other fixtures in our older kitchen. The Leland is fantastic. The magnatite docking keeps the faucet head from drooping or not reseating itself. The spray function is good. Waterflow amount and pressure are good. Installation was simple. I have installed a couple dozen faucets of all kinds and this was very easy. The hardest part is cleaning out under the sink and trying to get in a comfortable position to do the work. The new faucet replaced a Delta pull out that was 10+ years old. My wife loves it! Shipping and in-store pickup was smooth and flawless. June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality and Good Looks We selected this Delta faucet after an exhaustive search. Our decorator (my wife) is hard to please. This faucet was more expensive than we intended to spend, but the look and Delta quality sold us. We bought the chrome. The instructions were fairly clear. We have a three hole sink. The included escutcheon looks good and installed easily. The installation was made even easier as the Pex water supply lines (marked for hot and cold) are already connected to the faucet. The hardest thing about the install was lying on my back under the garbage disposal cinching up the faucet to the sink. The faucet works great. The pull down sprayer pulls and retracts smoothly, and docks solidly. March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pull down kitchen faucet Very complete kit with all necessary tools/supplies included to make install easy and quick. Supply lines are nice and long and easily cut down to size. Counter weight is a far superior design by not being clamped to pull down hose. Reasonably priced, good quality for the money. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very nice faucet smooth as silk operation. this faucet does it all with ease. I love it! August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by First class product Had previously bought a similar pull-down faucet (but builder's quality) from L**we's, and the metal started corroding after just 3 years. Loved the features of a pull-down faucet, but needed the quality of a Delta. So I bought a Delta. Home Depot had the best price and free delivery, installed easily, and works flawlessly. Should have done this the first time. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good purchase Good purchase for the sale price. A little difficult to install on OUR sink, but overall - good, sturdy product. August 16, 2016
