Customer Questions & Answers

I have a 3 hole sink, does this come with a cover plate that would cover the third hole?

Asked by: Anonymous
No cover for the third hole, so I purchased a soap dispenser to occupy that space.

What is making my faucet drip? And can I replace a gasket to stop it?

Asked by: Anonymous
The faucet is supposed to have a lifetime warranty. My faucet also dripped after only 5 years. I tried to buy just the part which is in the faucet control lever. I couldn't find the part, so I bought a new faucet. If you do buy a new faucet, be sure to get the kitchen version and not the bar version which looks identical online, but the goose neck extends less deep, requiring using the pull-out much more often.

Limited lifetime warranty. Just what does that describe as warranty. "warranty for the life time of the first seal that fails". warranty is ended at that time
Asked by: why
I don't know what their warranty covers, however my sink began to drip after only 5 years. I ordered just the part a plumber said I needed, but that didn't fix it. I bought a whole new faucet.

What is the difference between the stainless finish and the arctic stainless finish. If there is a difference, does the model with the arctic finish include a soap dispenser. The only model I see with a soap dispenser is this Model # 978-SSSD-DST which is stainless finish, not arctic stainless.
Asked by: Gloria
Hi, Gloria! Thank you for your question. The Arctic Stainless is more of a cooler, blueish hue. The Stainless Steel is more of a warmer hue. Both are brushed silver. The 978-AR-DST model does not come with a soap dispenser, but you may purchase a matching soap dispenser separately. The matching soap dispenser is RP50813AR. Here is a link to show you the soap dispenser on this website: Best Regards, Rosanna

Customer Reviews

Leland Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet with MagnaTite Docking in Chrome is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta Leland faucet Excellent faucet for kitchen. Very well built. All metal around. What else can I say, it's a DELTA. Highly recommended. This is the 978 model not the 9978. Many customers have made a mistake buying the 9978 instead. The 9978 it's for a bar sink, it has a shorter neck and narrower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit and finish of the product is excellent; compliments our granite counter tops; blends in perfectly with our custom made oak cabinets. The weight and hand of the product conveys confidence when you use it. You KNOW that the faucet will turn on and off correctly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Faucet This is a replacement faucet and I would have given it a 5-start rating except that the handle needs an extra washer which our plumber is going to get. So, it leaked--not a lot but I don't want even one drip. For the benefit of this company, there is a small possibility it was the plumber's fault so I will wait and review again once we fix it. In any case, it's absolutely gorgeous. The pull-out pipe is easy to work with and the entire faucet really updated our kitchen. We got this color on sale so it was a really good deal and our home service insurance covered more than half of it. I love it..and hopefully will love it even more once we get the drip to stop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drippy faucet after only 2 years This faucet began dripping when we turn it off on the hot side after having it only 2 years. It looks great and the pull down sprayer is very handy, but the constant dripping makes it a poor investment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Pretty but Prepare to be Soaked if You Rinse Dishes Using the Sprayer AESTHETICS and SIZE: This is a very nice looking faucet. The base has a very pretty shape that softens the look of the faucet. The handle, which is installed on the counterop, is very pretty. The faucet is medium-sized and the top of the gooseneck comes to just above the window sill (my window is at normal height for a kitchen window). I have not had any problems getting any large items under the faucet to wash. The chrome finish is fine and matches the chrome soap dispensers I purchased (a different brand than the faucet). COMFORT of USE: The faucet handle is comfortable to use and the gooseneck moves slowly and stays in place. I have arthritis in my hands and the handle is substantial enough that it does not hurt me to grab. The handle moves smoothly and does not stick. The button to switch from regular stream to spray mode is large enough, convenient, and easy to use. PERFORMANCE: The faucet has an excellent flow and goes between Hot and Cold with plenty of Warm in between. (I believe this is good precision, as another faucet I have on another sink pretty much has only "Hot" and "Cold" and it is difficult to predict where you have to move the faucet handle to get either). I have had the faucet a few months and the sprayer head locks into the gooseneck consistently so far. SPRAYER: The biggest issue I have with this faucet is the sprayer. I cannot use the sprayer to rinse any dishes without getting completely soaked in the front. Therefore, I have decided to return the faucet and replace it with something else. Unfortunately, the replacement faucet is not as good-looking as this one, but this is an important feature to me. SUMMARY: This is a REALLY good faucet for the price (2015: $159.82) and if you do not use the sprayer to rinse dishes, I would say you will love this faucet. Excellent value for the money though I hope Delta corrects the sprayer issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this faucet Width of spout is larger than I expected. It also has a slight angle more to the front of the sink. Sprayer magnet works great. Like how faucet can be used as a sprayer or straight - great for rinsing. Put the handle on the left side as I'm right handed, as I hold things in right hand and use my left hand to turn off faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior quality and functionality This faucet has a beautiful finish and look. Installation was very easy. Delta faucets are recommended by plumbers due to their functionality and warranty. We were afraid we couldn't find a replacement because the house we bought was 7 years old. The previous owners removed the flow restrictor and voided the warranty so we had to replace the faucet at our expense. It's nice to know Delta keeps their product line running for a long time.
