delta faucet install question

I'm looking to buy the delta linden 1353 dst faucet. There's a 10 in. metal plate between the sink and the faucet. It doesn't appear to come with the faucet. Do I order this separate? What's it called? thanks,
Asked by: Anonymous
I had one hole in the sink. Yes there was metal mounting plate in the package. I did not use it. You need three holes in sink for using mounting plate.

Linden Single-Handle Standard Kitchen Faucet in Chrome is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good faucet and Delta provides great support The styling of this faucet is clean and simple yet very tasteful. The minimal amount of hardware attached to the sink makes keeping hard water stain from building up easy. And since we have quite hard water in our area, we have had to replace the internal cartridge a lot sooner than I would have expected, but Delta really stands behind its guarantee and replaced it with no hassles. We have Delta faucets throughout our house and I would really recommend any of their faucets.

You will need two people to install someone is needed at counter level to hold faucet centered while you secure from under the counter. If you intend to hook up your current sprayer you can not with out a special nipple attachment to connect to faucet not sure if this is sold as an optional part or you must replace your whole unit with a Delta sprayer it would have been nice if they would have given a heads up in there specs. Unit works great son far and looks good

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent faucet I bought this in 2006. It lasted for 10 years. After normal wear and tear the faucet leaks sometimes. Rather with dealing with warranty on the issue i decided to just replace the disc and be done with it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice faucet, easy to install..BUT..... I wanted a simple kitchen faucet, and this Delta got very good reviews, so that's the one I chose. Install was very simple, EXCEPT that in order to flush it out, the aerator must be removed with the special tool that was supplied. Sounds easy, right? Well, let me tell you, nothing is going to remove this aerator. It is supposed to unscrew, but simply will not. So now I have a faucet perfectly installed and working, but not flushed as it should be. I called Delta, but they were no help at all. I'm not about to use a jackhammer to get the aerator out. But I would still recommend it as a well-constructed piece of plumbing. But I've only had it for 1 day, and this seems to be a design flaw. .If I ever get a bit of sediment stuck in the faucet, how would I get it out?
