what size wrench fits nut on delta kitchen faucet?

Asked by: ALJW
I could not find the extra deep 17mm socket at home depot, but did find the Husky 17mm deep socket with a 1/2" 12 point socket. It worked like a charm, after 2 hours trying to get our faucet out it only took 5 minutes with the right tool. Husky sku 633 959.

I have this kitchen faucet but the one handle for hot and cold. It's dripping a bit, can I tighten with this?

If I remove the hot/cold plastic button and tighten with this, will that work?
Asked by: Carla
Tightening the set screw on the handle will not stop the faucet from leaking. It the faucet uses a cartridge it will need to be replaced.

Delta kitchen faucet wrench/socket tool?

I don't remember my model number but need to retighten to granite and need a socket that Will fit and has opening so I don't have to completely disassemble faucet just to tighten... Any ideas? It has the tubing that goes down the neck so a normal socket won't work, and too small of a space for wrench.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Helpful tool If you are overhauling your Delta Kitchen faucet with the removable spray head and tightening the unit to the counter top, you need this tool. Lots of misleading directions on the internet to accomplish this task. You must remove the flexible hose from underneath the sink. Then you use this tool to tighten the faucet nut which holds it to the counter top. Only tool that fits the space and the nut. In addition, if you are replacing the O-rings which help the unit swivel, pull the flexible hose out of the throat assembly from above the sink, after the throat assembly is reinstalled, fish a wire down the throat assembly and attach it to the end of the flexible hose and gently pull it through the faucet assembly and back under the sink. If you try any other method you will be sorry. One other tip, before you tighten the faucet, make sure you have the maximum amount of counter top hole showing under the sink. (The hole drilled in the counter, which the faucet pipes run through. Makes life easier to get the flexible hose back through the hole.) Didn't mean to go on and on there, but what should have been a 2 hour project, turned into a 2 day headache due to not having this tool and faulty installation guidance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wrong Size Wrong wrench for my Delta faucet. Much too small. It would be helpful to have the dimensions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The product was exactly what I expected and worked well. I apparently mislaid the original tool or the installer failed to leave it with me. The tool is simply a very long socket and worked as I expected. The order from Home Depot arrived in a timely manner and the service people were excellent. A very good service provided by Home Depot. (Impossible to send you a picture of me working under a sink among a bunch of pipes).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only thing that worked This was the ONLY tool that worked to remove my Delta kitchen faucet. I tried several other wrenches, etc. but nothing else worked. I finally gave in and ordered this tool and it worked quite well.
