Customer Questions & Answers

Our touch faucet doesn't seem to be working properly. It will turn on when touched but it takes quite a few touches to turn off. Suggestions?

I don't believe it would be the batteries. The only time we have had to change the batteries is when the faucet stopped working altogether.

Why is this so much cheaper than the 980T AR DST

I am trying to decide between this and the 980 T AR DST - and there is quite a price difference. I understand that the Arctic Stainless is a slightly different color, but other than that, is there any other difference between this model and the much more expensive one?
Asked by: jmac
Hi Jmac, Thank you for your question. The web prices are set by Home Depot corporate offices and right now the 980T-SSSD-DST is on sale until 5/31/14. There is no difference between the faucets except the finish and one has a soap dispenser. We recommend choosing the one that best suits your decor. Thanks. Jody

Manufacture date?

How can I tell when these are manufactured? In order to use the power adaptor it must be manufactured after December 0f 2014 according to Delta. They really should have added a version letter or something. Thanks
Asked by: Jimgfl47
Hello Jimfl47, Thank you for your question! The manufacturing date can be found on the box of the product or sometimes there is a sticker on the supply line of the faucet with model and date. However, The adapter can be used with any faucet manufactured after December of 2014. To use the AC adapter with your faucet, you will first need the current solenoid assembly for your unit, the EP74854. If the faucet was manufactured prior to March 2009, you will also need to purchase an RP50390 hose assembly. If you have any additional questions please contact our customer service line a 1-800-345-3358 or via email at customerservice@deltafaucet.com. Best regards, Brandis

Pilar Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet with Soap Dispenser in Stainless Steel with Touch2O Technology is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 190.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Battery power is garbage I was forced to put in a delta faucet when I remodeled my kitchen because that's what my kitchen designer used. I had a Moen faucet before that was fantastic. I have had to change the batteries 8 times since this got installed in my kitchen 2 1/2 years ago. The sink completely shuts down! I am 65 and it is very hard to get down on the floor and under the sink to try and change the batteries. This is ridiculous, I wouldn't recommend this faucet to anyone. I had the Moen faucet and didn't have to change the batteries once in three years. If it wouldn't cost me so much, I'd change this thing out and put in a Moen faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome feature, I will never have a non-touch faucet again! Great faucet, absolutely love it. my favourite piece of technology in my house, when you prepare chicken or meats I always wash my hands this makes it so much easier. Their is way less mess with having kids and water all over the counter, now the water goes in the sink. My only issues are the cylanoid broke after one year with this product and I had to order a new one and repair on my own, it was very easy to do and Delta was great to deal with - shipped me the part free and gave me detailed instruction to repair. Just worried that this will happen often......hope not.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I am so very, very frustrated with this touch faucet. The switch has already been replaced once and the batteries countless times! It is so frustrating to never know when you will be able to get water from the faucet. I adored this technology when we first put it in our remodeled kitchen but this last year or so has been a nightmare! It trickles on most of the time. I can't count how many times we have replaced the batteries. It worked consistently after the switch was replaced but only for a few months. I am so ready to replace this faucet. I can assure you that it will not be with another touch-free product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The touch feature doesn't work and very annoying When we remodeled our kitchen, we purchased this touch activated faucet. It has never worked correctly and turns off EVERY time I run water. It is very frustrating to have the water shut off even when you aren't touching it. I've replaced the batteries and that didn't help. I took the batteries out to stop the touch activation feature but then it wouldn't work at all! Wish I had never purchased it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I was excited about the faucet but I'm now aggravated I purchased this faucet less than a month ago and had a professional install it. I have always had excellent water pressure but with this faucet it is a trickle on spray and drips on the other settings. It also drips when the touch feature is on so I have to place the handle in manual mode to prevent dripping, unless I can get these issues resolved I'm taking it back

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solenoid issue We've had this touch faucet for a over a year, it's really pretty and has the cool touch feature but it's not working properly anymore. It won't come on when touched, batteries has been changed my husband stated that the solenoid had gone out who's is very annoying and i don't know what to do..either replace the part or buy another sink. Not really happy right now

Love Love the feature of not having to touch handle to turn on when hands have raw chicken, meat etc. on them, or just plain dirty and you do not want to contaminate the handle!!! It's not only very practical, but very nice looking. The color goes great with our granite island.

I love the touch2o on/off as it is nice to keep water off the counter and have access to water with messy hands. The style is great-looking as well. However, 31 days after installing it, the solenoid has given out. Delta was quick to send me a new one for free. I'm hoping I have better luck with the replacement.
