We purchased this product in the polished nickel/brushed stainless finish a little over a year ago. For the first few months the touch feature on the faucet worked, and responded to touch, although it seemed a little sensitive at times. Then it started misbehaving, and we couldn't get it to respond properly, at times not even being able to get any water to come out with touch or manually, having to go to the powder room sink to get water. Tried new batteries, repositioning the mechanism under the sink, it merely worked when it felt like it. Very frustrating when it wouldn't respond with the manual handle either. I always keep the manual handle turned off overnight or when I'm not working in the kitchen, because you never know when it is going to respond and turn on. A little over a year into dealing with this, and I've finally had enough. Cannot get it to come on at all, now, So we got about a year's worth of use out of a $400 faucet. Not too crazy about Delta products at this point. Would have given a rating of zero if I could.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by egilbert49 Great looks and wonderful to use
We installed this product last month and we are even more pleased now then when we first purchased it. It is very well manufactured and installation was a breeze. All of the fittings went on without any additional trips to the hardware store and it took me less than an hour to remove our old one and install the new delta faucet. We entertain a lot and the new touch technology is great since we do not have to reach and play with the control valve. Just touch it and it is on and touch again and it is off. The visual temperature level is also a great feature knowing what temperature the water is at. All in all I would highly recommend this product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jwb1 Beautiful AND smart!
I originally chose this faucet based on how it looks. The venetian bronze is beautiful and matches all of our other oil rubbed bronze products. It's difficult to find mind fixtures in the oil rubbed bronze finish, so my choices were limited. I'm so happy I ended up with this faucet! I didn't think I'd use the touch technology, but it only took me a few days before I was hooked and trying to touch all other faucets so they'd turn on. It's so convenient!

I really want to keep this faucet, but my husband has always hated it. The one in the bathroom (538T-DST) has a leak that will never stop and eroded away most of the pretty part of the faucet in the first one year. Now the one in the kitchen, this 980T-SSSD-DST Pilar Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Touch2O Technology and Soap- Stainless model, spent a few months not turning off when we touched it. Recently it won't let any water through the faucet! I am frantically searching for a post or manual to tell me how to get my kitchen sink back. Help! What has happened? What should I replace my sink with?

I have five years using this product and I love it, the only thing is that my water faucet runs on an electric automatic touch system but it's not letting much water out, the pressure is too low, I already changed the batteries but there was no change. Will I need to change the whole thing for a new one?

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by VW2016 Operates very inconsistently
A CANDID review on this faucet. DON'T buy it. LOTs of problems. Won't consistently shut off completely with touch, now mine just trickles when turned on -- No full flow at all. This faucet was installed 2010. Operation has been very inconsistent for at least two + years. Was installed originally by plumber. I've tried to troubleshoot per the DELTA install/operations manual. Tried the "manual bypass of electronic features" --- DOESN'T WORK.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Derek Touch2O Faucet Leaking
Just installed 6-8 weeks ago, faucet started leaking today after I touched it "off." Can't be the 'manual' valve at the faucet; turning to full off at point works fine. None of the supply lines are leaking. Solenoid wires aren't touching. Worked perfect until now. Went to use faucet this morning but after using the Touch 2.0 I have a leaky faucet - steady for the last 30 mins. Is this a solenoid issue? Are my batteries failing already? Help? Too much money paid for this to be failing. Had replaced an old school faucet that went 8 years before any issues. Didnt get the Pilar, I got the other one - can't remember the exact name. DOUBLE HELP???

Also am having issues with the solenoid control valve. In many cases it will not come on or has a very slow stream. Would really appreciate some input on how to remedy this problem. Have really enjoyed this product until these issues came forth.
