I needed a taller toilet than what we had because my knees aren't what they used to be, so when I found out that Broward County was offering a rebate when you purchased and installed a 1.28 GPF water sense toilet I figured it was time to get new ones. Before we decided to purchase two of these Delta Prelude toilets, I read a lot of reviews on almost every ADA compliant toilet Home Depot sells. I mean A LOT! I can't understand why some people are having issues with theirs when we have not had a single issue with either of ours concerning functionality. The only issue we had was they were only available in white so we couldn't match the color of our bathrooms. Initially we were going to go with the toilet that can flush a basket of golf balls, but at $50 more per toilet we didn't think it was worth it. With the $100 savings over two of those other toilets, plus the Broward County rebate, we ended up getting a bargain. We purchased them and I installed them in early September 2015 and as I stated, we have not had a single issue with them. I've read most of the complaints and to me some of them are frivolous. So the flush handle is on the side, it's still a one or two finger push to flush the toilet. You're not actually moving your hand/wrist much differently than with a front mounted handle, so get over it! Another complaint I read was that the seat was cheap. It's no cheaper than the seats on the toilets I replaced. One of those seats was over 10 years old and the other was the original seat that barely looked worn. So they aren't the soft close seats that come on some of the other toilets. With the $100 saved over the other toilet we were considering you could buy two soft close seats and still save money. Other complaints I read was its ability to flush everything. I don't know if I should say this or even if my review will make it past Home Depot's screening, but if it does, maybe it will help those that are having flush issues. It's marketed as a single flush toilet, meaning that it doesn't have one flush for liquid and another for solid waste. Though if you hold the flush handle down until the toilet tank empties, it does in fact flush more water than when just pushing and releasing the handle. That could be useful in some circumstances. All in all we think we made a good decision buying these toilets and are very happy with them. I know my knees thank me.

Smaller toilet that fits into older, small bathrooms. The filling mechanism is loud, but otherwise the toilet is good.

The toilet was priced in the middle range of those on display at Home Depot. It was easy to install but don't do it on Sunday, after installing the toilet I found the supply line was one inch too short. I didn't see any warning in the instruction manual to prepare for this. The only fault I found was the cheap seat. It slopes into the bowl thus loosing the inch gained by buying a tall toilet. They would be better off not putting a seat on it. Had to go to Wal-Mart to buy a decent seat. Still having to flush twice at times.

The toilet works as advertised and is very easy to install; although as a one piece assembly, it is naturally quite heavy. It is one of the few with a small ceramic base footprint; great/essential when installing the toilet in front of baseboard heaters. The tank to base connection is great and minimizes possible leaks. The downside is that adjustments are difficult for water/flush levels. Mine came with the release tab jammed against the tank rear wall; you would have to remove the working parts to adjust the flush/commode water level which I will do someday as the water level in the commode is not high enough to accept/cover everything.
