You will have to measure your old toilet. Measure from the flange bolts that come out of the floor to your wall behind the toilet. Make sure you have no wall trim that may block the tank later. I just bought and installed this toilet, and the wax ring was included. I believe the only thing you need to buy separate from what's included is the caulk for the installation.

Yes the wax ring does come with it; however, it is rather thin. I would pick up an extra thick wax ring for about $5 and use it instead. That is what I did and so far no leaks. Install was a breeze.
Everything you need is included, including bolts, but like I said I would get the extra thick wax ring.

I would suggest the Sani Seal toilet gasket. It is in the plumbing dept sku 1000-004-299. It is a plastic gasket that will not leak and is permanent. It also allows you to re-align the toilet if you don't get it right the first time. I used this on my toilet since it is upstairs and I really need it to be water tight.

With regard to the "tight chain" you may find it helpful to loosen it so that the longer flush can be made. In addition, you may also loosen the chain a little if your water overflow begins to drip. I incorrectly stated that my valve was leaking on my Delta Prelude, when it was actually a water overflow drip due to my flap not completely closing after flushes. A Home Depot representative suggested loosening the chain, and I no longer have a water overflow drip problem. Because my initial error in judgment, I gave this toilet an overall rating of 3 instead of a 4 and 1/2 to 5 stars. I plan on purchasing a second Delta Prelude for my guest bathroom. Read Less

Answer:
This is normal and allows you to either a) hold the handle down longer for a more thorough flush when needed, or b) to "double flush" quickly without waiting for the tank to refill. Most of the time though you should be fine with just a quick regular single flush.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # C41901-WH uses only 1.28 gallons of water per flush, and the flapper is located on a pedastal so there will be some water left in the tank. This is a normal condition.

The flapper is almost 2" high above the tank floor. I also noticed that all the water was not released from the tank maybe because of the flapper's location. I was kind of amazed that only a small amount (1.27 gallon) of water flushed the toilet, but I guess it's normal.

My Delta Prelude said "Made in the USA". It was printed inside the tank portion of the toilet. As for other models by Delta I couldn't say where they are made. Like you I try to buy only U.S. made items.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Flush The installation was fairly easy, and the flushing is quite unique and quiet. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy customer I bought 2 Delta toilets. Had them installed by plumber. After watching him, I realized that it was a simple install. Everything is provided to install. So far it performs well. After shopping I believe I got a good deal. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent price for fine quality. I needed to have a higher seated toilet. The price was competitive for a toilet that appears to work well, and save water. Installation was reasonably easy. I am hoping to experience durability. I would recommend purchase. June 29, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This product is very good. The product is very good and works very well. I like the efficiency of the flush. There is very little water wasted during the flushing of this toilet. Would recommend to others. Only drawback is that it is a round bowl and if not used to one, it takes some getting used to. June 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worth for the money Overall it is a good product. Installation was easy. Flushing system is good and comfortable chair height. So far no problem with this product. June 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Room for Baseboard Heater & Easy Installation We looked at several other brands/models but, after a difficult time ascertaining the amount of lower rear clearance from the wall for a baseboard heater, (made much more difficult by Home Depot's method of elevated display that required in several instances removing a candidate model's bowl from a box, sitting it on the floor and measuring the clearance using a roofing square borrowed from the tool department - and - more difficult by various manufacturer's and Home Depot's web sites lack of detail in addressing this clearance specification), this Delta model has PLENTY of clearance. (More than one inch remaining for a Sterling "Suntemp NST-800" hydronic baseboard heater). Delta's side view of this model, though not directly dimensioned for this clearance attribute, was nonetheless proven to be proportionally accurate should someone reading this be faced with a similar challenge to ascertain the subject clearance. I cannot add much to other reviews concerning ease of installation other than to say that I cannot imagine how it could be any easier. Everything inside the tank is pre-assembled and ready to go. The three bolt tank to bowl attachment is a welcome design improvement over the ancient two bolt design. The instructions were well thought out and well written. The only difficulty I had was snapping the plastic mounting bolt covers onto their respective plastic receiving bases, (design engineers note - add a little more lead to that design). June 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Complete Installation Replaced my 1958 model toilet (5 gal) with the latest from Delta. The complete kit and instructions made the installation as easy as replacing a faucet. from a 77 yr old DIYer. June 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent quality for the price, nice and quiet. We got this water saving toilet from local home store. I was skeptical at first, but after installed, this toilet works very well. It can handle bulk amount of waste, and flush very quiet while using less water. I double check every time, does it flush all, it does excellent job every single flush. Love it. June 4, 2016
