Has Delta fixed the problem with the tilt angle w/the right washers so the mirror doesn't tilt only to the floor or ceiling people are saying?

Many reviews state the washers need to be tighter to keep the mirror tilted in one position. Many reviews state the mirror returns to a floor tilt. Have the washers been changed? If not, how can I use this mirror in a tight position? We are both tall and tilting up won't work, either.

Answer:
This mirror needs precision installation.
If it is not done as per instruction, it may tilt due to lose bracket,
If it is done as per instruction, it will stay horizontal/parallel to the wall, or you can tilt it up or down, as you wish, and it will stay there
Please see my picture; it stays there since one month.
Precision installation is the key word.

Mine hangs straight with no problems. I did tilt it both up and down, but was able to return it to the straight position.

Thank you for your question. We have made improvements to Delta Faucet model # 132892 by adding thicker bushing in the new boxes. There may be some older prodcut still on the shelf so if you get one that does not contain the thicker bushings, please contact our Customer Solutions group at 800.542.3789 and they will send you replacements.

Can the mounting hardware be removed easily so I can glue this mirror directly on my current mirror? Or will there be evidence of the removed mounting

Answer:
I don't quite understand how/why you would glue this on your old mirror.. but no, the mounting require 2 holes into studs or provided anchors, for each side... a total of 4 holes.

Answer:
yes yo can remove the hardware on the ends. There is a cross bar on the back that is approx 1/8 inch that will require a thick double back tape to adhere the mirror to the wall.

Answer:
The posts are separate, but the mirror itself has a nub on each side that is permanently attached on the back of the mirror via a metal U-channel. I think the answer is "no".

Answer:
The mounting hardware has screws and anchors, so there would be holes. The mirror pivots from two sides, which support the oval glass. It is meant to be a few inches from the wall so it can be tilted when needed. It also has washers on each side of the glass.

Thank you for your quesiton. We do not recommend removing the glue to reuse the mirror in this manner. Doing this would void your warranty.

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 38 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not as expected Wish I'd known that the mirror doesn't hold any other positions - it's bottom rests against the wall so what exactly is the point of having a swivel? I bought this because I thought it would adjust for people's different heights. I was wrong and I'm definitely not impressed. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product and value We remodeled our baths and purchased two of these mirrors - one for each bath. They arrived within a couple of days. They were simple to assemble and install, however a note or comment stating the rubber bushing needs to be securely inside the bracket would be helpful. Without it being securely inside the bracket, it holds the mirror without a problem but the mirror tends to "fall" or slant and won't hold in any other position. The brackets give the ability for adjustment and I was able to bring each bracket inward to hold the mirror. We are very pleased. They give a distinctive look and were a good price. A great value. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Delta Tilting Mirror This is a beautiful mirror and once mounted correctly and securely it looks very elegant. The issues I had with it are that the directions are not very understandable and the mirror as others have posted does have a tendency to tilt downward so it basically shows your feet. I helped lesssen the tilt by securing the top screw in further to the sheetrock wall and did not tighten fully the bottom screw (but both are secure and in the sheetrock for life). Now it doesn't tilt as far down as it did before. Overall a nice mirror but bear in mind it really does tilt and you will have to adjust the screws holding the brackets to eliminate seeing your feet all the time. July 17, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice design - Installs like a towel rack Installed in a powder room. This mirror is a welcome improvement over the older, faceted mirror it replaced. It has an added interest because it is set off from the wall and swivels up/down as the user needs it to. The installation was simple, like putting a towel rack on the wall, but I wish the hardware pack used the drywall anchors that have a thread that "screw" into the wall. The supplied ones felt undersized so I used my own, upgraded hardware. Don't want a mirror falling off the wall! Because this one can swivel, I wanted to make sure it was secure. The posts are attached to plates that are secured and the mirror is fitted between the posts. I painted my posts to match the rest of the bathroom fixtures, the posts were initially chrome plated. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I received 1 old and 1 new mirror... I received one of the old ones, with thin bushings, it wouldn't' stay up right to save it's life. I installed the other, anticipating just needing to pick up some larger rubber bushings. The 2nd mirror I installed, I could tell right away it hard larger bushings... so I put one large and one small on each mirror, and they stay up. I contacted Delta, and they are aware of the issue. I have a new pair being sent to me, so everything will be set. Overall, wife and I are happy with the mirrors though. I would give this 5 stars if I didn't have to deal with the bushing issue, but it seems it has been taken care of. We really like the entire set we purchased. November 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My best and beautiful mirror This is a very beautiful, and very high quality mirror: use it anywhere you prefer, it will mingle with any decor. Very easy to install, even a one person task. It is never going to lose its beauty, so it will last for ever. I recommend this to anyone, who loves beauty and elegance. August 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bathroom mirror Easy to install. Sturdy tilt feature. Looks fabulous. February 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy this My contractor suggested this mirror for the renovation of my small bathroom. Initially I was thrilled with the look, the brand (name recognition), the price and the pivoting feature. However, after a couple of days it was obviously unsatisfactory as the mirror only tilted all the way down, pretty useless as it was advertised to adjust in any position. Sadly, it was returned and replaced with one of the Moen pivoting mirrors which installed easily and works perfectly in any position. Delta, you really missed the mark with this product - VERY disappointing! October 23, 2015
