We bought two of these along with matching towel racks, but my husband thought the design of the TP holder was lacking, and he was totally right. I wish we had seen the reviews first. The set screw has been re-tightened so many times that it doesn't stay tight for more than a day. Our young kids are always pulling the TP onto the floor. This TP holder is a constant source of waste and irritation. I am so very disappointed, since it was so attractive to look at!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by jklein Poor design. Won't stay on
The holder looks nice but it does not function properly. I have similar problems as everyone else. The arm simply will not stay on the holder. No matter how many times I tighten the screw, it always comes loose and falls off. I've even tried super glue and it still doesn't work. Extremely frustrating as I have 4 of them and also bought matching towel bar holders for each bathroom. Very disappointing

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mobmorts Nice Solution to an old problem
A nice looking item that particularly drew my attention because of the lift-arm approach to changing the TP. Perfect for my wife, who has real difficulty removing the spindle off of standard TP holders. Needs a minor tweak to become perfect: make it so that it doesn't rattle when in use.

This holder does not use the normal spring holder for the roll, but instead the solid bar swivels then locks firmly in place. Good enough design that I will probably replace other units in my house with it.

I like everything about this except the non-pivotting end of the arm just sits on the post. If the set screw comes loose, then the arm can pull out (away from the wall) and fall down. When the set screw is tight, it works great, but after a year, the set screw stays tight for about a day. The toilet paper now sits on top of the holder. This is a design issue that could have been easily avoided if Delta just put a ridge around the post that keeps the arm from pulling out..

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Replacement screw - how can I buy one?
The screw that holds the non pivoting part won't "hold" the unit to the base that is screwed to the cabinet. I went to a local hardware store to find a replacement screw, and it's a Metric 4 x 0.7 screw. They don't carry it (Lowe's hardware). Now I need to look online. I can't use the screw, it - it's stripped (from the top) - I kept on tightening it over the year(s), guess I stripped it. Bummer. As the other comments - toilet paper is on the counter, and we're trying not to get it wet from the hand washing. But I originally liked the look of this style - it's nice.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mattcheck big design flaws
I was debating between this and one from Kohler both same price and both chrome finish. I bought the delta silverton pivoting paper holder installed it exactly how the directions said and I hated it.
The reasons I hated it were it didn't sit flat on wall, it rattled, and the pivot arm wouldn't go up unless I loosened set screw, and the arm didn't lock into place it just rested there.
After I installed it I immediately took it off put back in box grabbed the towel rack I also bought and returned them to home depot and bought the Kohler Ashville paper holder and 18 inch towel rack it only cost 2 dollars more for both.
Do not buy this product they have some serious design flaws they need to fix.
