A steady stream of water comes out of the bath filler where it is attached to the wall when the shower head is running. Is that supposed to happen? I'm not sure if this is a design flaw or an installation issue. I'm concerned that over time it may cause the cauk erode and lead to water problems.

Answer:
No water should not come out if that happens it means your sprout is not fully tighten or the pipe that comes out the wall is either too short. I was having the same problem until I tighten it one more turn 360 deg the water stop coming from the back. You might hear click sounds when tightening it. Be careful when turning as to not damage the supply line.

Does this include the rough-in valve or is it just the trim kit?

Also, I don't need the showerhead. This is for a stand alone tub. Can I just use the tub parts or will this be a problem?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144713 does include the rough-in valve. You will need to plug the shower port, and your tub spout will have a diverter on it that will not be needed.

Answer:
Hello Handy Girl, this is only a Tub and Shower Trim kit as you suspected. I did find a 1 handle tub only, see links below, also gave you the link for the valve.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not very hot; wimpy pressure I bought this in a hurry because I didn't realize it would be one of the first things my contractor would need for my bathroom remodel. In retrospect, I wish I had researched it better. For one thing, Delta has this scald guard feature built in which you can't opt out of apparently. I like hot showers and this one is warm at best. There are no children or drunk people in my household that I have to worry about scalding themselves. Secondly, that rainwater shower head does not deliver very much pressure. My old shower head was much better. I am SO GLAD this is the guest bathroom which is not used all that often. I would HATE for this to be my main shower. I will have to apologize to the occasional guest who has to use it. July 5, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by do not buy, its cheap plastic I am so disappointed at delta. Its was too late for me( after my contractor installed them in, i got two because the trust o have for delta) to discover what it made of. If knew its palstic i wouldnt buy it. All i have is just spend extra $40 i can buy kholer's set, its preminium metal!!!! December 15, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by tried of go back to store Went back to store 3 times missing parts in boxes. The tub spout would only stop 1/2 the water to go to the shower. Took it back off looked inside surprise 1 more problem. going back to the store..i bought the bathroom faucet the same time. scared to find out about that next. April 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great quality for the price. I've installed shower faucets from pretty much every major brand, and while yes, the spout is plastic, every faucet set in this price range has some plastic parts, and while some have metal spouts they are usually steel or pot metal and will eventually corrode. Full plated brass sets available from plumbing supply shops are $500+. This is a low price point set made just for HD. Delta's all metal sets are 4 times the price. Also the trim is all easily replaceable down the road if you wish. More importantly the valve is high quality solid brass, and the cartridges are very easy to service and replace when required. This valve also has the ability to be upgraded to multi-choice later on. The square mud ring and relatively lax install tolerances make the install and tiling pretty straightforward and simple. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AWESOME Love it !!!!.. So happy with it looks so fancy ... February 10, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pretty Faucet I'm pleased with the look of this faucet set but the weight/quality of material it made from is not as heavy as sets I've had in the past. It seems a bit flimsy compared to the older sets. January 19, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Water pressure and temp. not hot enough I needed a plumber to install. Cost me $360. The tub spout works great. The handle for the water does not give hot enough water for me. I like hot showers and the water temp. is more like a summer shower temp. for me. I'm going to feel like I'm freezing when winter comes. I guess there is some sort of gadget that stops the water from burning children. So I guess if that's what you are looking for then it works very well. I do not like it. The shower head gives you a nice calm shower. The feeling of soft big rain droplets. I would prefer if the rain droplets would be a little smaller so that it would cause more water pressure. It takes me longer to shower because I can't rinse the shampoo out of my hair as fast with this shower. The fixtures do look beautiful though. August 18, 2015
