Customer Questions & Answers

Does it come in brushed stainless or brushed nickel? Thanks, Rosi

Delta Single-handle high arc kitchen faucet; does it come in brushed stainless or brushed nickel? the pictute said stainless steel-polished and reflective. Thanks, Rosi
Asked by: Anonymous
I would say the look is most like my stainless steel appliances, maybe slightly darker. I do not feel it looks polished or reflective which, for me, is good because it doesn't show finger prints as much as the appliances do.

Can the lever be installed on the left hand side, instead of the right hand side, as shown in the illustration?

Asked by: Anonymous
Did not consider that since I am a righty, but looking at pipe I don't see why not. Under sink is flexible tubing so crossing the hot and cold is no problem. Outlet swivels 360. I am a DIYer so be sure to verify with guys at store.

Does this faucet include the plate to cover the two unused holes in the sink?

My sink has four holes and I'm hoping to get this faucet.
Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 16961-SSSD-DST does include a 10" escutcheon plate to make it a 4-hole installation.

will it fit a 1.3/8 hole in top of sink?

the house was built in 1974 and has the original faucet but am worried the hole may be too small for the new faucets, there is no room to make it bigger.
Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 16961-SSSD-DST needs to have a hole size from 1 5/16-1 1/2 inches so your holes should be fine. Included below is the spec sheet on the product.

Customer Reviews

Single-Handle High Arc Kitchen Faucet in Stainless is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Faucet! I am so glad to have this faucet! It looks good, was easy to install, and I can't believe how great it functions. OK, faucets only really have one function - but this one performs it well. The height allows me to easily fill or wash even the largest pots and it 'swings' flawlessly either between my double sinks or beyond the sinks, totally out of the way. It's also easy to turn on or off with the single lever. The best feature is the 'pull-OUT' design-rather than the 'pull-DOWN', which, after repeated use, may not always retract all the way and leaves the faucet head hanging. The included soap dispenser wasn't something I was looking for, but I find that I use it all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE LOVE LOVE! I can't express how much I LOVE this faucet! We've gutted & remodeled our kitchen and bathroom in the last year and THIS, of ALL the things we've purchased, is one of my very favorites. Honestly, when we move in a few years I will probably take this fixture with me to my next house, unless I can still find it and get a new one! It looks impressive, love the unusual-but-refined soft-square shaping, and functions like a dream. I have no problems with the handle positioning for shut-off. It does not "click" but there is a definite "stop"; I've never missed it in all my back-and-forth at the sink, and never had to think about it. Very hi-arc: Anything fits underneath it, there is great reach in the pull-OUT (not DOWN, hooray! As another reviewer pointed out, those fail and inevitably dangle, looking TERRIBLE!), and if you're getting splashing on your counter I would say you didn't buy something appropriately sized for your sink (this is large both vertically and horizontally). Install was straight-forward and quick. Love that's it's metal construction, but with plastic pipes=durable but safe--our old faucet leached a TON of lead into our water... now we have virtually nil (the water and sewer authority in my town, who has tested our water about 6x in the last 18 months, is IMPRESSED). Switching between spray and stream is complete for us, no dribbling inbetweens, and I think the flow of both is perfect. We have been using this for about 9 months and it makes me happy every time I use it (it's the little things, right?). We do not use the soap dispenser (never intended to), as we wanted the sleek single-hole look in our new stone countertop, so I can't speak to it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from not bad for price Good all-around faucet for the money. A little light in that there's no "click" when you push the handle closed so you can inadvertantly leave it on and then have to adjust it to the off position - you have to take a look. Maybe the handle just pushes too easily for hot, cold and off. But still a nice faucet. Someone should consider placing the handle on the left for right-handed people because the tendancy is to approach the faucet to turn it on with something already in your right hand, like a dirty dish or sponge. So your left hand crosses under the spout to flip it on and gets wet on the way back. If you do the dishes, you know this. But all these faucets are designed the same way - hello! Ask the dishwasher, not the CEO.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't last long It worked great for a year, but it recently has started leaking from the inside where the feeds run near the handle, unfortunately in an area in the main shaft where you can't easily get inside to see why exactly it's leaking. For a $200 item, I would expect to at least get more than a year out of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functions and looks very nice. For us the Hi-Arc design and the Single Handle Deck Mount was a must. Large pots and pans rinse easier. Installation was easy. Very nice design. Purchased July of 2010 and as of July 2012 had no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So glad I got a high arc faucet! This faucet is fantastic. All the parts are metal (no silver painted plastic junk), it installed smoothly and simply, and it is functional and well designed. I love the high arc, which makes it so much easier to wash dishes, water plants, and wash large items like a high chair tray or cutting board. The stainless steel finish is gorgeous, worth the extra money over the shiny chrome that needs to be wiped down constantly to avoid water spots. The faucet swings back and forth very smoothly, the button changes from shower to full flow easily, and the faucet head pulls in and out effortlessly. The long hose under the sink has a large donut-shaped weight strung on it that keeps the hose from twisting about, and ensures that the faucet head "pulls" back into place as you guide the nozzle back into the faucet. We had a problem with our last Delta faucet because the hose underneath would tangle and twist. This is a much better design. Soap dispenser is nice, but difficult to use with only one hand. Just a nice bonus, not a selling point for us. My one gripe is my personal issue, not the faucet, but is something your should consider. I'm used to a faucet with the on/off control on top, not the side. Being right handed, I now realize that I tend to hold the sponge or dish in my right hand and turn the water on or off with my left. Since the water control is on the right of this faucet, I have to cross my left hand across the sink to turn the water on or off. Just an adjustment I need to get used to. Overall, very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality product; rather expensive; reduced water flow Overall this is an excellent faucet. The supply hoses are fairly narrow diameter so the water flow through the faucet is less than the previous one. I did encounter an installation problem that is probably unique to me: my hot & cold supply connectors are different sizes due to a recent re-pipe of my house and I could not find an appropriate size adapter at Lowes, Home Depot, or Orchard supply. I ended up installing a separate 12" supply hose with proper sized end connectors between the faucet and my supply valve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product - 3 years into it w/o issues After reading mixed reviews about this product, I decided to buy it for my remodeled kitchen. So far, and three years later, I still love this faucet. It still works like a champ and still looks great and practically new. Regarding other reviews that I read yes, after a while you have to get used to place the lever up and right in the middle for the faucet to completely close but that does not bother me. If you had a twisting valve, you have to twist it all the way otherwise it will not close. The dish washing soap dispenser does indeed feel a little funny, but it does WORK!!!
