Kim,
Yes -- the reason for the Delta R11000 Diverter value is to supply water to up to 6 outlet -- most people use it in the 3 way configuation -- upper shower head, lower shower head or both shower heads.

Yes I use mine in a shower (only) but you must have a mixing valve below this unit. I can switch between rain head, regular shower head and hand shower.

Thank you for your question. The R11000 diverter is used for those installation with body sprays, hand held, and shower installations without a tub spout. If the application is a customer shower install, the R11000 will be needed.

It depends on the trim you select. If you chose 3 position it can pick either one or the other or split. If you pick a 6 position trim you can have 3 devices and you can chose any single one or split any two

AnnElsea,
If you want 3/4 inch outlets you should purchase something like the KWC (Brand) Part Number KWC 39.990.010.931. The cost of this rough-in value is around $200. I am not sure of your reason for wanting a 3/4 inch inlet. If your water line in 3/4 inch you could use the R10000-unbx value with reducers and it's cost is around $30.

The Delta T11853 is a trim kit 3 way ket that will fit the 3 Port Diverter Value Model
R11000. If you want the 6 way use the T11953 trim kit.

Hi Lizz,
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # R11000 is the rough-in valve to be used to divert the water to extra features from your standard shower. If you have a diverter on your tub spout, then you can use the T11853 to divert the water to your handshower.
If you are using the diverter to also divert the water to and from your tub spout, you will need the T11953 trim. If you decide to Read More

Thanks.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good but not allowed in New Jersey Product was installed but I found out later that it does not comply with the plumbing code in NJ. There has to be shut off valves on it so the water can be shut off if it has to be worked on. This should be mentioned in the product specs. March 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is what you need to install a shower only application The picture offered on the Home Depot website is incorrect. This is the perfect diverter for a shower only install. It only has three ports - hot, cold and shower. Buy this diverter for a shower-only application. June 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shower Rebuild Easy to install -- however, we had to plug one value end. There should be just a three way value and it would make is easy to install. July 17, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good luck If you install this valve the way the rough in tells you too, you will be very disappointed. Our valve trimmed out perfect and this transfer valve was to far back in the wall. And of course they don't make an extension for this. We had to cut open a tile wall on the other side of the valve to offset this valve above the shower valve causing us to look bad. Also install the cartridge at rough, good luck trying to remove the bonnet nut when it is an 1/8 inch behind the finished wall. January 17, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by easy install great product at best price that I found locally or online January 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love the diverter We recently remodeled the master bath and opted for a handheld shower and rain can in our walk-in shower. The diverter allows us to use either or both. Highly recommend a diverter when remodeling a bath with shower. May 3, 2013
