This lamp was easy to install and looks great. The build quality seems high on this lamp. I can't attest to it's long term quality as I've only had it up for a month.
If I have one complaint, it's that they use aluminum wire instead of copper. While that's fine the wiring in your home is copper and it's best to match similar metals. That being said, I'd order this lamp again.
You will need a screw driver to replace the light bulb. This could get annoying if you use bulbs that burn out often. It does however allow you to remove the heaviest portion of the lamp (the glass) while hanging it. This makes the fixture lighter while juggling with wires and nuts up on a step ladder.

I absolutely love this light on my house, it definitely made a big difference on the look of the house. I bought it about 3 months ago and still love it!! We have not had any problems with it and it was easy to install, especially for my not so handy hubby! =)

Only improvement would be to add screw backers so that when you have to change the light bulb you can loosen the screw without it falling to the ground. I installed my own and it made a big difference. Overal this is a good value.

This is the same exact style and material as an outdoor ceiling mount Hampton Bay I bought for $30 to be used as an indoor light. So, points off for the extra $50 for a wall plate. But the style does work for of my house.
I also had to use longer screws [not included] for the mounting bracket because I had to purchase a larger back plate [$11] for my outlet box. Luckily, I had screws lying around but if you also will need a larger back plate, consider grabbing some longer machine screws. So, points off for installation for the screw issue but otherwise it was very easy to install.
My outlet box is not mounted unusually high, but the light itself sits high by design. It is directly next to my door so you are basically looking up into the bottom of the lamp when standing at my door. So points for appearance because that is what you see when you come to my door. Otherwise, it is attractive in style and does look nice from the street.
Other issues are bulb accessibility and bulb. Be sure to get a Type A bulb [old style in looks] because the only bulbs I had were the swirly CFL's which look horrible. Bulb change is going to be a pain because there are 2 tiny twist knobs to unscrew which are SURELY going to be dropped in the mulch and lost forever. The whole large bottom glass part has to be removed to replace a bulb. Thankfully, new bulb types last much longer.
I looked at many other lights and didn't find any style I liked more that would work for my T/H. I guess all in all I am ok with this purchase.
