This unit at Home Depot states that it accepts c-base bulbs. The same unit at Amazon states that it accepts candelabra bulbs. Which is it?

Answer:
This question is no longer relevant. The website for this product states that the bulb sockets are candelabra. I have located a company that sells screw-in adapters that convert candelabra sockets to c-base.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy installation This was a replacement of a ceiling fan that was nearly 30 years old and still worked very well. The pull cord mechanism had broken and, because of its age, couldn't be replaced. So, the new fan needed to be as good and have a similar look and feel. While the blade holders aren't as solid or robust as the old one, and the washers used to cushion the blade and holder together are just paper, it is very quiet and serves our purposes well. Only time will tell if I'll get the 28 and a half years of great use with this one as I did the original. Either way the price was great, less than a third of what I paid all those years ago. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy, easy to break fan. After I installed this fan, I screwed light bulbs into it. The candelabra sockets split in two! This was due to a cheap 2-piece design. I called Today's Design House Customer Service, and they apologized and sent a new fan with a good light kit. About a month later, it started to hum loudly. I installed the replacement motor, and it hummed too. I tried adding Neoprene washers, rotating blades, new wall switches, re-tightening screws, etc. Customer Service told me that since they replaced it once, they would not help me. Awful product that I am returning! December 12, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Some modification required I have done this before but I looked over instructions anyway and they are pretty comprehensive. The quality of the parts for price is good to excellent. One of the Balls on the pull chains was broken. I had a replacement. This may have happened during shipping or this was a reboxed return? The outside of the box was a bit banged up and appeared to have been retaped. I exchanged the mounting screws with the 1/4 inch lags from the fan this replaced. I had to resize the slots to accept the 1/4 lags. I had to restrip the wires for proper exposure. The installation is pretty straight forward but the cover or canopy did not fit the bracket easily so I had to modify the bracket. In operation it's great. October 18, 2011
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking fan, but some issues We put in our first Millbridge 52 inch hugger fan, and noted that the motor was fairly quiet on high setting. One of the screws to the light wire housing does not work right (screw hole milled incorrectly?), but did not impede completing installation. My main issue was when we ordered two additional units (same model/color), and noticed that the fan motors were too loud. We returned these items. Though we do not know for sure, it seems that these two fans had already been purchased and returned before. We then decided to go with another fan (Hunter Oakhurst), which is quieter, even compared to our first Millbridge fan which works OK. September 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice product Design could be improved to make it a little more secure to the ceiling pretty quite while running just a low hum. All in all a really nice product. January 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The perfect color for my living room! The performance is wonderful. I control the speed. I love that I also purchased the Westinghouse Chrome and Black Ceramic Pull Chain. The perfect match. April 7, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ceiling fan i had a very difficult time finding a black with nickel (silver), flush mount fan. in fact yours was the only one--I am doing a remodel and it will not be installed until after the holiday--looks like what I want, we'll see.... December 15, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mal-Manufactured. The intent was to replace a nearly identical ceiling fan with this model, however the blade arms have holes drilled all the way through, so screws would protrude and show through. And blade mounting screws were mill finish, instead of white finish to match blade arms attached to motor. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Especially since direct contact with Design House in Milwaukee for parts to make it right accomplished nothing. Only option is to return to Home Depot, reorder online, hope for expedited shipping, but as the customer service rep stated, "there's no guarantee" the next one will be right. January 2, 2015
