This fountain has not one, but two fatal flaws. 1st, you can't hear the water - isn't that the whole idea behind a fountain?? The water drooles down the winged maidens' body, evenually & silently dribbling into the lower bowl.
The 2nd flaw is the pump - its totally undersized. But that really doesn't matter either. Put a larger pump in this fountain & the water will still run down the statue & flow into the bowl without making any running/splashing/ bubbling/descending etc.. water sounds. Don't waste your money!

I ordered my fountain on Monday 5-30-11 and received it that Thursday 6-2-11 which was great shipping time. My mistake was I didn't take it out of the box until 6-15-11 and it looks like a place on the very bottom of the base was patched with some kind of white stuff. It seems there was a crack in it on the outside of the base but the inside of the base there was fine, so I decided to keep it. I figured it was too late to call them and report this since I hadn't opened for two weeks. I just hope it holds up. Next time I receive something shipped I'll check it the day I receive it. For the company I would say make sure to check your items before you ship it so there's no way anything you ship already has a flaw in it that seems to have tried to be repaired. As for the fountain I love the way it looks and when I set it up I'll be extra careful working around the spot with the crack. I would recommend others to buy this, just check it when you get it (which was my fault) to make sure everything is right with it.

I received this as a gift for Mother's Day and the pump has already quit working. Today is June 26, 2010 so it only worked for 5 - 6 weeks. It is a beautiful fountain. Looks good in the garden but know the fountain barely makes a stream and has already completely stopped working.
