Answer:
Its a dark oil rubbed bronze....almost black looking dark brown, with tiny streaks of copper on some edges (hardly any). Its dark, not very brown, but its not a true black.

Bottom nub at the bottom of the glass twists off. Make sure you HOLD the glass because that nub is what is holding the glass up.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great price Nice finish, easy installation, uses standard light bulbs; I installed 60 watt fan bulbs. Looks great for short money. October 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I got what I wanted. Product was as pictured and described. I am a satisfied customer. September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice look, good value Looks nice for price but was a challenge for my somewhat experienced husband to install. He says "this must be why they are so inexpensive, they are difficult to install". Otherwise, they look nice, simple and do the job!! September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good value. Easy install hint for 5 minute install start to finish. Good value. Easy to install. Some reviewers stated difficulty getting the bolts to line up through the insulation. It is E-A-S-Y if you use two philips screwdrivers with long thing shanks, slide them both through the light fixture (one in each hand) and onto the two screws in the mounting box. Then simply slide the new light fixture up the screwdriver shanks and over the heads of the screws, give a slight twist into place and then tighten the screws. Easy! I have installed 24 of these and the average time start to finish is 5 minutes. Also, set the depth of the center glass bolt befor you put in the light bulbs. Quick to set the depth, tighten the nut, install the bulbs, then the glass and retaining nut. July 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I was looking for. Too bad you have to order it delivered. A common light used by many, but wasn't at the store. Too bad I had to order this common light to the store for pick-up. August 31, 2016
