Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really works I had a block of concrete in the front yard which was used as a barrier between the lawn and the trees. I tried breaking it with brute force but didn't make much progress so I looked for an alternative and found this product. I didn't realize that this product was sold locally so plan accordingly. The hardest part of this project was drilling the holes. I used a hammer drill with a one inch masonry bit. The drilling took me off and on about five hours over 3 days. I was a little worried that I need to use this product on a weekend that was cold (recommended temperate was 77f to 104f but it was in the 70s during the day and 50s at night) so I mixed the product and poured it into the holes around noon when the sun was out. I read that most of it works in first four hours but whe I checked back about 5 hours later and was disappointed that there were only a few hairline cracks. My first reaction was that I wasted $42. However, I checked back a few hours later and noticed there were hairline cracks between all of the holes. The following day the cracks were wider and I could have disposed the pieces the next. However, since I'm slowly dumping the blocks in my trash, the block has been sitting there for days and now the cracks are 3/8 inch plus. May 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It did ok It did ok. It took a good 48 hours prior to breaking up my stoop. I did a second round on it . The second round didn't do as well as the first. I will still have some work to do, but its a good start. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome product This worked so great and so fast!!!! Saved us a lot of time! June 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spilt a granite Boulder This stuff really works. I rented a pnuematic rock drill and drilled 5 holes approximately 3 feet deep. I was only able to fill 3 1/2 holes with the qty of dexpan that I purchased. The first day, nothing happened. 2 days later I saw a small crack. Within a week a 1/4 inch crack appeared. This is a huge boulder and I don't know how much is buried in the ground. I will need to use more holes to actually split the boulder apart and separate the pieces but this was a great start. I previously tried a jack hammer and the boulder just laughed. April 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked perfectly This worked as advertised. I used it to break up entryway steps. The concrete was thicker than I expected, but the Dexpan broke it all the way through, 18"at the thickest spots. This in spite of the fact that the weather changed and the overnight lows dropped below the temperature range recommended. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent solution to hard problens My ranch is in the central Texas hill country and bedrock seems to always interfere with road drainage. Before finding Dexpan I had to rent a jack hammer to open obstructions in ditches. Now I just drill a few holes, mix the Dexpan and let it do the work. Saves time, money and my back. Amazing stuff. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dexpan is no joke I usually don't take the time to rate products, but this one is different. I heard about Dexpan from a friend, did my own research and gave it a try. I was a bit skeptical because the concrete I was going to remove was bordered on 2.5 sides by the house and concrete front walk way. I drilled the holes every 9" instead of the recommended 12" to assist in fracturing. Twenty-four hours later, my concrete front porch was rubble. I had read that watering the Dexpan down a second time will increase fracturing. Not only did it fracture more, but it raised it up (probably due to it pushing against the house and walk way and no place for it to go but up, I guess). The removal of the concrete chunks was very easy. This stuff is no joke! June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Works as instructed. But be patience it did take close to 24 hours before I saw major results. August 2, 2016
