Works great, cuts fast and accurate holes. Doesn't like nails so be careful.

The bit was of a better quality than I expected. Solid construction, sharp, good steel, and accurate size. I have only cut the 20 or so holes I needed it for so far, but that was in hard wood using a drill press. Worked great. I used it at both a lower speed around 900rpm and higher for a couple of holes 3200rpm - no issues at all at either speed.

Needed to drill some holes to fit dowels to build a ladder. Chucked this little guy into my drill press and zippity-zap, I got me a ladder. Super sharp, it made short work of that pine.

I have had zero issues with this bit. I was drilling multiple holes, one after the other. The bit did not get too hot to touch. Obviously sharp right out of the box based on the the shavings it piled on my floor.
If I need another forstner bit, I will absolutely be looking here first.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JDubb Extremely superior to Ryobi
I've been producing some products that require a 30 degree 1 1/4 hole which I'd been using a Ryobi "patented X wing design" forstner bit for. It came in a kit of 6 bits for around thirty bucks. Even from the first use there was a lot of tear out from using that bit just drilling through pine.
I guess you get what you pay for. I got fed up with that bit and upgraded to this diablo bit and the difference is night and day, this thing cuts like butter and there's no tear out even without a sacrificial board on the back. Once I wear this one out I'll be back for more!
