It's a little pricey but it's worth it if you need it. I did have one issue. The collar that keeps the bearing in place slipped while I was using it. It has a set screw but I had to try and dig up an Allen wrench that small. Ended up having to purchase one. It should be included.

I bought this for a project where my bottom-bearing router bit wouldn't work. It was ready to go out of the box, didn't require any sharpening (which is what you expect from a router bit). I used it on red oak and pine. It resulted in a smooth, clean cut for both.

I had to make 10 quarter circles out of MDF for shelves. I used this router bit to follow a pattern. I made several passes through the MDF, It worked great and made a smooth trim cut. Very pleased with the result.

I was templating clear Ash, a very simple, straight forward project, and within the first 10 cuts the carbide on this bit shattered, rendering it useless. This is the second time I've had trouble with a Freud/Diablo router bit and I will never buy one again. It's not safe, a waste of my time, and a terrible value.

I used this bit to free-hand route the old glazing and crud out of some window frames and it worked great. I assumed that the bit would be shot after using it for this purpose, but it's still sharp and is ready for more.

This one did the job.
I used to remove a thin layer of laminate so I could install a few tiles next to the stove as hotplates.
It was a little difficult to set up the design but bit worked perfectly.
