I need to cut 1 inch thick HDPE cutting board material into several pieces. TCG with a negative hook angle is what I want, but 80 teeth seems like a lot for something this thick

Answer:
Hi, Mike - The Diablo D1080N will be ideal blade to use because of its TCG tooth design and -5 degree hook angle. We recommend raising the blade in the material so that approximately 1” of the blade is exposed. This will minimize the amount of teeth working in the material minimizing the potential of marking the material.

The spec on the aluminum is 80tpi blade, this 84tpi is great. For those wondering about the 90 tpi vs. this 84tpi... I made a mistake when I bought a 90 tooth same brand but not metal cutting class, and it didn't last but a few dozen cuts before it had lost teeth and making sloppy and dangerous cuts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good blade Used it to cut up an old grade school blackboard they were throwing away to make 5"x7" mini blackboards for my sister in law to use with her first graders for math. The blade did a very good cut and never chipped any of the board and that was my fear as it was a pretty old blackboard. They turned out perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a hot knife through butter Just like they say on the packaging, it cuts like a hot knife through butter. I was initially hesitant because of the price, but I was so happy I went back to pick up another for my other saw so I didn't have to transfer it. Love it!
