I need to know more details on the Diablo 10" x 80 tooth Carbide Circular Saw Blade.

Is it hollow ground or not? To use on my saw the blade must not exceed the thickness of my riving knife which is 2.2mm thick. My riving knife is for 10" blade with 0.094 (2.4mm) min. kerf width and 0.67" (1.75mm) max body thickness. If this blade does not fit these requirements, DeWalt has recommended the DW3372 80 tooth hollow ground steel blade. Do you have or can get either of theses blades? What is the price of the DW3372 if you can get that one?

I'm not sure I understand your question, but if you mean is the plate of the blade of varying thickness from center to edge, the answer appears to be no. The metal of the blade is a uniformly thick plate with laser cuts in certain locations - probably to minimize warping if the blade heats up or to help dampen any resonance. As is typical of carbide blades, the teeth are wider than the plate of the blade. I could not locate a caliper or micrometer, but the teeth appear to be a standard 1/8" (0.125"). This will give you a 1/8" kerf, and the plate of the blade will generally not rub against the material being cut. There is a red coating on the blade that I think is intended to minimize friction if the plate does bind in a cut for some reason.
Sorry if I misunderstood the question, but hopefully this will help. Read Less

Answer:
The hook angle is 15° and the kerf is .098 inches (2.49 mm).
This is not an ideal blade for ripping material, unless it's thin (less than an inch) it is good for cross cuts.

Answer:
The Diablo you are asking about is a carbide tooth blade. The carbide teeth (kerf) are slightly thicker than the body of the blade. These are considered thin kerf blades The carbide teeth are about 3/32", which I think is 2.4mm. I use these blades with a Jet tablesaw and it works fine with the riving knife. Can't say about the DeWalt TS. I think you will like a carbide blade over a steel one.

Answer:
The Diablo 10” 80T (D1080X | SKU #330-489) saw blade is not a hollow ground blade. If you are looking for an ultra fine finish, we suggest looking at the carbide tipped Diablo 10” 90T (D1090X | SKU #295-585) saw blade. This blade will last longer than a steel tooth blade and will deliver excellent cut quality.

Answer:
I don't have a 12 inch saw, but it looks like most 12 inch blades are going to have a standard 1 inch arbor hole. Freud/Diablo apparently manufacture an adaptor bushing that will allow you to use a blade like this with your 5/8 arbor saw:

Can this saw blade make clean cuts to a 1/8" thick acrylic material. (I will make many, many cuts from 4'x8' sheet.) If not this blade, which one?

Answer:
Hi, Art - The D1080X will cut 1/8” Acrylic material. However, to achieve the desired results, we would recommend the D1084L. The D1084L has a Triple Chip Grind tooth design and passive hook angle that will help ensure clean cuts and long life in Acrylic material.

Hi, fereyes - All Diablo saw blades come with a 5/8” arbor. However, we do have the ability to re-bore the arbor in-house to ¾”. You will have to special order the blade through Home Depot and pay a $14.40 milling charge. Once the blade is completed and shipped it is non-refundable.

I don't work for Home Depot, but the Freud Web site does not appear to have this blade with a 3/4 arbor hole. I do not recall any 10 inch blades at HD with other than a 5/8 arbor hole. Sorry!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cuts clean and quick Amazing what the difference a new saw blade can make. I've been using a Forrest blade for the last couple of years. Was going to buy another one, but after pricing out - I realized I could buy 3 to 4 Diablo blades for the same cost. So far I'm very happy with the performance of the Diablo. August 16, 2016
