Diablo's next generation 12 in. x 60 Tooth Combination Carbide Circular Saw Blade features new laser-cut stabilizer vents for precise and clean cuts in a variety of wood materials. Constructed with TiCo Hi-Density special-blend carbide, Diablo's 12 in. combination blade produces razor sharp cuts and provides 5X longer cutting life. The laser cut heat expansion slots allow the blade to expand and contract during use, keeping the cut true and straight. This blade is excellent when working on multi-purpose projects such as cabinet work, millwork and furniture construction.

Customer Questions & Answers

Will this work for laminate flooring?

Asked by: Steve
NO, NO and sometimes yes. 95% of Laminates have special coatings on them that build up on the blade and dull them out incredibly quick. They make blades specifically for laminate flooring. You will go though at least a blade or more a house and it starts burring its way though the laminate. This is from my professional experience as a General Contractor.

how is this blade for cuttig laminate

Asked by: hans
I have used this and many other 60 tooth blades for cutting laminate over the years and the best advise I can offer is to keep the blade low so the tooth is hitting the material perpendicular to the blade and feed the laminate slowly. Be sure to add an auxiliary fence if there is a gap between your fence and the saw deck if the gap is enough that the laminate can slip beneath the fence. Keep the blade a 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch above the deck when making the cut and you should be good.

Does this blade work well on Melamine... namely chip out problems

Asked by: Anonymous
I purchased the blade for fine woodworking on trim. Please check with your Home Depot Tool specialist if this blade will work on melamine.

I put this blade into my Milwaukee 18v sliding compound miter saw and it cuts like a dream. Nothing ever to complain about with Diablo blades, they outlast and outperform any blade in its class.

I have purchased other Diablo 10" saw blade from Home Depot in the past with them working just fine. Yesterday a Purchased a 10" 84 tooth which I thought I was get a New 90 tooth (my mistake). Anyway I installed it in my table saw and used a micrometer to measure a 1/4" using my fence. Made the cut and it was less than a 1/4". So I adjusted the fence and when I turned it on and it started to spin I noticed it wasn't straight. I powered it down and saw that it wasn't spinning in a straight line. I removed the blade and put a small square across it and sure enough on one side it was flat and on the other I could see daylight. I returned it today and got the 90 tooth this time. Installed it and same thing, but not as bad. I got my gauge out to see how bad it was. I set it to zero on one side and then hand turned it to the opposite side and it read 12 (pics attached). I can live with this by marking the sides so I can hand turn it to that mark to get the correct size cut that I want. I reinstalled my old Diablo blade 80 tooth and it was the same way, but not as bad as the two I just tried. This explains why I always seemed to have to do a little adjusting to get the correct cut. Going to use this one till it need to be replaced and then I'm going to try a different brand. I do like the way they cut. The wood has a smooth edge to them. I ran some Oak, Cherry, Maple, Purple & Red Heart, Lignum Vitae, Mahogany, Orange Osage, Canary wood and others through it today and it handled all of them just fine. Happy with the cut, but not what it does to my measurements.

As described on the packaging, this blade "cut like a hot knife through butter." I used it for a variety of wood trim, as well as laminate flooring, in a mitre saw. My only complaint is that the laminate floor seemed to dull the blade prematurely. After cutting the laminate, the blade was basically just burning through my wood trim instead of slicing nicely. There is a blade designed for pergo (laminate) flooring, but that was at least 3x the price of this blade, so unless I was doing a whole house it wouldn't have been worth it.

I grabbed two blades off the same rack and didn't check to make sure they were the same. I intended to grab two 60 tooth blades. One cut with this one and I knew something wasn't right. It cut much slower and with more labor than the 60 tooth blade. I knew something was up and stopped to see what was going on. That's when I noticed it was an 80 tooth blade. It was not what I wanted, Home Depot was kind enough to let me return it. All that being said, it did make an extremely nice cut and I am sure that if that was what I needed most it would have been perfect. But I needed a 60 tooth blade because it does a better/faster job with ripping lumber. So while I returned this blade, the blade itself was great. I got two of the 60-tooth blades and they are fantastic. I never buy another kind of blade.

First off, this was the only blade i could find that would fit my el- cheapo miter saw. ( needed 8.5 inch diameter). I also wanted to use this miter saw to cut numerous pieces of aluminum carpet transition strips. Nice smooth cuts without any vibration or kickbacks on the aluminum, even while making 45 degree angle cuts. Made it very safe to use because it is a finish blade. I may leave it in and use it for other wood products later on. Good purchase.
